Aside from milking the cash cow? Absolutely nothing.

Is there going to be a Star Fox game for the Wii U? It sucks that there was no release for the Wii.

Random insertion of my Star Fox opinions:

Star Fox 64 - Played the demo and have seen a friend play it as well as someone's playthrough on You Tube. Good game, wouldn't mind getting the 3DS version when I get the chance, even if I don't have a 3DS.

Star Fox Adventures - The best graphics of all the releases sans maybe 64 3D and Brawl if you count those. If I had to draw Fox, he'd be drawn like that, unless I get to rip and use his character model. I like how Krystal was designed. This game had potential, but I got stuck early on and the bonuses were horrible.

Star Fox Assault - Admittedly not the best title in the series due to wonky controls and not having the best graphics of its time, but it's my favorite title because of its story, open worlds, and everything about multiplayer is fun and brilliant.

You all know my favorite character is Wolf. I don't really have a least favorite since I haven't played through Command (which I stopped playing a ROM of early on, I was stumped), though making Command completely non-canon doesn't really make it so that I have a least favorite either.

[up][up][up]That's a bit of a stretch. Actually there ARE major differences:
  • Voices are obviously rerecorded. But one MAJOR addition is the training bear mechanic dude's voice in Training Mode.
  • Fortuna is now correctly referred to as Fichina.
  • Two versions of difficulty. One is the 3DS Mode which supports the gyro sensor control AND also rebalances the game for it too. The other is the Nintendo 64 mode which is the original version.
  • The game now lets you save mid-session, so you don't have to start over again from the very beginning every time you play (There is a special award for playing all the way through without continuing/saving, though).
  • New Challenge mode will make you play for score and Medals. Medal requirements can get quite demanding...Even more demanding than the original.
  • Revamped multiplayer mode not just for adhoc but also for single player too. In other words, yes you can play with bots.
  • I was able to unlock Sound Test by beating the game through the hard route on Nintendo 64 Mode. I forgot what was the requirement again on the original game.

It also has different Voice Acting in different regions of Europe, so Fox and the others talk in German, Italian and French too. I like the german voices, for example. Fox sounds like a leader of a team, Falco is still the Deadpan Snarker he was and Peppy sounds older and more experienced. Slippy, though, has an annoying voice, like his english one. I already begin to hate that Toad because of his german voice. xD I was pretty indifferent to him when he did only talk in english.

I played Star Fox 64 a couple times. Sadly, I didn't a good enough job to fight the real Andross and not his robot.

I also played a little bit of the SNES Star Fox, but I just crashing into stuff. Maybe I just suck at these kind of games. sad

The other games I have not played, but I read up on them and saw You Tube clips. Star Fox Assault looks like a good game to me. I mean, you have music that sounds like something out of Star Wars, and some of the lines were priceless. Falco saying "What's this? An Andross wannabe?" Come on, admit it! He was saying pretty much what was going through your head at that moment!

Was I the only one who thought Andrew Oikonney in Assault sounded like Scrappy-Doo from Scooby Doo? That one line "Let me show you my true PO Wer!" seriously reminded me of "Duh-duh-duh-duh-da! Puppy PO Wer!" Also, Oikonney? Is that even a real name, or is that just made up?

Krystal in Assault was perfect with that blue outfit! The pink outfit in Star Fox Command...well, I really don't think pink is the colour for her. I'm a guy who usually doesn't think very much about colours, so I hope that indicates something!

Do you think there is a chance of ever seeing a Star Fox game for the Wii? I see no reason why not myself, because I think the game would be suited for the Wiimote and stuff.

So, who are the new voice actors for the English version? Any reprises?

I also heard that Peppy's original voice actor went on to voice The Soldier. Maybe the localization team will hang a lampshade on this if he has reprised his role?

[up]IM Db shows that the voice of the Soldier in TF2, Rick May (who actually voiced Wolf, Leon, and General Pepper in the original), reprises his roles in 64 3D.

It's nice to see that Nintendo is making another Star Fox game. I was afraid that Star Fox Command had become a Franchise Killer. smile

I like the enhanced graphics of the remake but I wish they used the original audio for the characters. While their VAs may be the same, the way they say it just isn't as narmy. Also, the gyro controls are so bad when I was really looking forward to them.

Also, my current favorite game in the series is Assault. I just love everything about it.

I saw a video that was an HD remake of the original Star Fox opening. While the increased detail is cool and I love that whole booting sequence, I don't think that Star Fox gives itself to a super-realistic style.

Concerning Star Fox, any tips for Star Fox Adventures? I'm kinda on the edge of buying it via Amazon, but then there's the waaaay too drawn out Item Get!-sequence*

and the general Narminess of some of Fox' voice-clips, like climbing onto something or jumping (dude sounds like he's constipated there xP), which makes me kinda not want to buy it, lest anyone else of my friends wanting to see me play it/play it themselves and only making those things worse by never stopping making fun of that or ridiculing me for any kind of mistake I make. xP (one solution to that is: Never play any sort of videogame near your friends, but who knows how long I can adhere to that rule...)

Other than that, I've heard pretty conflicting opinions about the game, about how it is great, how it sucks, how it's not like Star Fox 64 and all that Fan Dumb-crap. :/ And thus, I don't know if it's worth it. I mean, I like Star Fox 64 and I like Zelda, so that shouldn't be a problem, right?

Personally, I found Adventures to be very fun overall but severely lacking in replay value which made me sell my copy (I've beaten the game about four times). Personally, I think it's a fairly good game and not even the voice acting annoyed me (and I'm really not getting where you're coming with Fox's VA being bad). I also loved the design it gave the Arwings before they got upgraded to the Assault model.

Really, if you want to get it then get it. If you don't then don't. The game is very much Love It or Hate It.

I also love the combo Fox does if you hold the control stick backwards. It's not only cool, it's the most powerful.

[up] Fox' VA is alright, most of the time. It's just some of his grunts that are pretty weird. ^^" Well, I guess I'm going to buy it, since I found myself to be liking some games part of a fanbase quite often not likes (*cough*Metroid Other M*cough*).

Oooh, thanks for that little tip, oughta do that when I have the game. :)

Well, that combo does three quarters of a heart of damage instead of two so you can rarely kill an enemy in one combo but it is fun to watch and you can kill them in one-and-a-half combos.

I'm kind of hoping that in the future of the series the games will consist of three teams. why mostly because I want Krystal to branch off and form her own all-girls team. Leats see Krystal, Katt, Miyu, and Fay Is there a Command ending were Amanda and Slippy don't stay together?

Which ending is Canon in that game?
