Ha, I said Kirby's Epic Yarn looked like a dolled up installment when I first looked at it. Even Canvas Curse looked like a Kirby game to me. But the Tv Tropes forum wouldn't have any of that. Well who's laughing now? Huh? BlahHAHAHAHAHAHEH!

That said, I'm still likely to end up purchasing it. I never said that it wouldn't be good, just that I would have preferred it not to have been dolled up.

Kirby Air Ride flat out took several songs straight from the anime. The item bounce song, the "all boxes are the same" song, and if I'm not mistaken, even the Dyna Blade remix of Castle Lololo was from the anime.

There's still the Klonoa remake.

Apparently, it was hard for playtesters to imagine Prince Fluff as a living being, something with "presence". They solved that issue by replacing Fluff with an established Nintendo character - Kirby.

I'd definitely recommend it, as it's one of the most original and innovative games I've played in a long time. The stages are well designed, there's tons of replay value, and despite having completely different game mechanics, it actually does feel like a Kirby game. The music, the art, the atmosphere... all of it is reminiscent of past installments.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.

To me, it didn't feel like a Kirby game at all until the very end. With the familiar music kicked in and there were blocks and cannons again, it became Kirby. But for most of the game it wasn't.

There's still the Klonoa remake.

Ah, Klonoa. I never played the first game, but the sequel, Lunatea's Veil, is probably one of the best platformers I've ever played.

Epic Yarn felt like a Kirby game to me from the very beginning. It has the same warm and fuzzy feeling the series typically has.

Because we're happy about getting another Kirby game?

There's another for 3DS as well. It has a bunch of Kirbies onscreen at once.

It is the Year of Kirby, apparently. Hooray!

[up][up][up] Feel the power of my derp! I think I got mixed up because it was hidden in the original 3DS reveal screens or something.

[up][up] That's actually a bit of a tradition with the series, though, isn't it? Coming out really late in the cycle to deliver gorgeous graphics?

You just know this was made by the same people who made Kirby 64.

The new trailer is relevant to my interests.

Admittedly, I've never played a 'classic' Kirby before. Y'know, with the sucking.
