I'm still waiting to see how Ross handles the dam jump at the end of Route Kanal. He mentioned in one of his live streams that was the one scene he was having problems justifying why Gordon would do such a thing.
Considering how he's been modding the game to fix moments like this, it does leave upcoming set pieces a surprise in how they're handled. So, we'll just have to wait and see.
Ross steps into the shoes of Chuck as he attempts to pierce the Veil of Darkness in the newest Game Dungeon.
Ross tackles more spooky stuff in Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh for the second Halloween episode of the Game Dungeon this year. Be warned: this episode is age-restricted... and for good reason.
Oh man, this takes me back to Spoony's old Let's Play of the game.
And now I'm sad because of what happened to Spoony...
Have to say that this is one of few games that I felt mind fucked about even from let's play That game is that surreal to me at least
I remember watching Spoony's Let's Play. The thing that really struck me was how little I liked the protagonist.
Disgusted, but not surprisedHuh. I never played Phantasmagoria. I was an adult when it came out, but FMV games didn't really tickle my fancy at the time. I thought they were cheesy. Guess I missed on a classic series.
I have to agree with Ross on the ratings being all sorts of screwy. 3/4 for gore and 4/4 for sex... those standards, man. I could get more hardcore sex by watching Cinemax.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"TBF, it was released in the Nineties, which is when it was rated. It was a different time. What probably put it at 4/4 was that it was an FMV game with sexual content in it. It wasn't something like...ugh...Custer's Revenge.
Personally I think the ratings should have been switched around. That scene with Bob alone should have pushed it to 4/4 in terms of gore.

Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, I have to wonder what they would have considered a 4/4 game for gore. Wow.
I have to agree with Ross: the acting is top-notch for the most part. The cast seem to be really taking their roles seriously.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That said, the first Phantasmagoria game is arguably even more disturbing. Mainly because it revolves around the horrors of domestic abuse (albeit with supernatural elements). The scene in which the protagonist is raped by her husband is particularly disturbing because, well, it's a damn rape scene.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAlso reminded me again I shouldn't ever read youtube comments :p There is this really long message chain about spoony's lp where lot of commentators don't really understand mental health issues or think that calling people crazy is okay. Though funnily enough there are also plenty posters who honestly have no idea who spoony is, so easy to spot new teens
For the first-ever Thanksgiving edition of Ross's Game Dungeon, Ross looks at Harry Buster, a tomato-throwing stock market adventure that... doesn't have much to do with Thanksgiving, other than being about a bird. Not even a turkey, at that.
...It was the best thing he could find that was worthy of a Thanksgiving episode, OK?
EDIT: Man, got .

Maybe it's because it's 12:40 in the morning but this line confuses the hell out of me.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I'm with Ross — I don't know who this game's target audience is.
Disgusted, but not surprisedMerry Christmas! Ross has a gift for us: a holiday episode of the Game Dungeon focused (mostly) on Messiah, a game where you go around as a cherub possessing people.

I was put off playing that game solely because that creepy Cherub

"There are no corn dogs in hell"
That's such a random opening statement
Someday he'll make it to Black Mesa East.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Bets on whether this series is finished before Half Life 3 comes out.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean, we all joked about that when he started Half-Life 2. But now that Valve's announced Alyx, Episode 3 is a far more likely possibility.
Hence why I said that. Half-Life 3 is no longer an impossibility.
Disgusted, but not surprised
Probably until he feel Breen is trying to keping him down, which he does NOT like at all.....
