Please give this to me in the main game, I want to put it in my Labrynth deck. It will be very very funny.

I like the idea behind the retrain. But making it a hard once per turn for both effects is dumb. The summon effect I can get behind, at least. Should've been a two part effect, imo. That or have a very large pool of summonable monsters(other LIGHT/DARK effect or vanilla Spellcasters, or something like that).

Especially after we got a good retrain of Man-Eater Bug. Then we get... this. Even Hade-Hane and Nobleman-Eater Bug at least were decent improvements, though still pretty much crap. Especially with Penguin Soldier existing. I don't think we had anything close to what Nobleman-Eater Bug was, though?

So, do you think a Transcendrake Link is possible or not.

I ask because there seems to be two level 6 vanilla dinos the themed missed (Sword Arm of Dragon and Fire Opal Head IIRC), and while a level 12 Ritual can easily slot into the themed. Link Ratings not being scalable to levels/ranks presents an issue with the whole Level 6 theme.

I wasn't anticipating a Magician of Faith retrain to be good, but Konami proves that even the lowest of expectations can be outdone. Like, wow.

[up] If they give Transcendrake a Link, it'll either require at least one specific material of a Level 6 Dino or need a vanilla Dino in the GY to activate an effect. Link Rating probably won't matter other than it being at least 2.

Traptrix TCG deck got leaked. We have

  • Ash Blossom instead of the cockroach
  • Gozen Match over Evenly I think.

Those serm to be the only replacements.

I wouldn't expect a Transcendrake Link at least in the immediate future, because we can see from the set codes that the card we're missing is a spell/trap

Transcendrake is a strange archetype, though- there's no attempt to make them function as a stand-alone archetype; instead they're mostly just a set of boss monsters you splash into the existing dinosaur deck

#24208: Feb 8th 2023 at 1:13:23 PM

Only leaks I keep seeing is Roach is replaced by Ash, and that Evenly Matched is still in.

One of those Youtube ones. Has the full list by holding up the box. Take it as you will.

[up][up] Ah, I misread. Gozen Match is replaced by Evenly Matched, not the other way around. My bad.

Tzolkin is technically a manga card I think?

Fwiw there's an RDA Synchro that locks your opponent out of playing the game during the turn it's Synchro Sunmoned. Crimson over here lets you cheat out Synchro Summons on your opponent's turn. I can already tell this will be a problem.

Jesus fuck Yusei, what are you feeding Stardust? Razor blades?

My thoughts on Crimson Dragon: It's not an instakill like Numeron dragon can be if summoned, but the Crimson Dragon, barring the occasional bout of time travel, was never really portrayed as individually as powerful as a lot of the big hitters of the franchise. Like it didn't create the universe or anything, for example, or split the universe into four.

It's absolutely going to be used in some ridiculously degenerate play, of course. I'm just not sure how.

Hot RDA King Calamity is a legal target for the Crimson Dragon.

All you need is double generic Level 12 Synchro access to set up a turn skip. Not necessarily easy, but not necessarily hard, either.

I suspect the combo will not be too long for this world.

Other than that, Synchron gets some more consistency tools and some funny moment cards.

So in case wasn't clear, the targets for Cosmic Quasar Dragon's second are Stardust's other three Lv12 forms.

Whereas the best targets for Crimson Dragon are Hot RDA King Calamity and Red Supernova Dragon, I think. Or, y'know, Cosmic Quasar Dragon. In any case the main source for good Dragons that we didn't previously have an easy to way to summon is the Lv12 pool.

And geez Jack and Yusei both just get tons of over-the-top and complicated to summon boss monsters, don't they. I'm forever going 'I hope these cards aren't good so I don't have to read and understand those effects' with those two. And for God's sake don't make me name any of them without giving me a chance to look it up.

I think my favorite card in this reveal is the one that lets you revive and level modulate a bunch of Synchros so you can summon Quasar with all the Signer Dragons like in the anime.

This honestly feels less like a "Yusei" Archetype and more just a general "Signer" Archetype. Yeah, it's got a lot of Yusei references, but with the focus on the Crimson Dragon, the fact we Power Tool version of a Synchron that works just as well in a Morphtronic deck, and the fact that the duel this is referencing, the final duel with Z-ONE, had a big emphasis on all the Signers lending their power to fight alongside Yusei in spirit, you may as well call this the "Team 5D's" deck.

You could probably even throw in some Aporia in there too, since he did use the last of his life to grant the Ryusei-Go the power to fly, and Wheel Synchron being a bike centaur is reminiscent of how Aporia and the Three Tenors merged with their D-Wheels at the waist.

So Blue-Eyes can cheat out Crimson Dragon with Spirit Dragon. Not sure what they'd do with it, but it's an option.
