I can immediately think of two interpretations for the lore:
In both scenarios, the White Woods Witches were tempted by the demon Diabell, but ended up being overtaken by the "Sinful Spoils", Asteria being the exception and going off to find and deal with other Sinful Spoils so as to not let what happened to the Witches happen again, going under the pseudonym "Diabellstar". As for the other details:
- V1. The Witches died out with the exception of Asteria, Asteria instead being the perfect host for them and surviving, naming her Sinful Spoils after those she lost: "Silvera" and "Rciela". Risette came back as a phantom though, now "Diabellze" to reflect how she's only Diabell's thrall, and seeks the Sinful Spoils herself to empower Diabell.
- V2. Diabell corrupted the Witches into her servants, Asteria managing to escape her control, but forced to cut down Silvera and Rciela, turning them into Sinful Spoils like what happened with Poplar. She either couldn't or wouldn't cut down Risette, who instead became "Diabellze" to highlight how the Risette Asteria knew was now gone.
I would say neither; it looks to me like Diabell cursed Silvera and Rciela by turning them into the Sinful Spoils.
What is unclear, for the moment, is why Diabellze/Risette seems to be siding with Diabell, and what the Snake-Eyes have to do with anything
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Well serpents are associated with old Scratch ever since...Eden. it's as such it carried over to the Satanic Archetype. it's possible that Diabel's original body became Flamberge Dragon.

Btw, since it was glossed over, some people have theorized that the latest Albaz card is a Star God, or that it may be a card in the future that is. While it lacks the level 11 benchmark of the others, it hits other hallmarks, being a reference to Artificial Life simulators, having a stat total of 7000, and is seemingly at the peak of its power. people are suspecting the system its referencing is Aevol, which just so happens to use Central Dogma for its evolvable code, which puts a few other cards, such as Dogmatika Nexus and Branded in Central Dogmatika in a different light.
Speaking of lroe specualtions. I have my own theories on the White Woods
- I think Diabell is going to be the Big Bad of the storyline. and also that it had the ability to turn people into weapons
- She used said power on the Level 4 girls. Those I think are the parents or mentors of Astria and Risette, and subsequently became the former's weapons. Among the First sinful spoils.
- Around the same time, Diabell had taken Risette as its host, and also tried to correct Astreia as well, resulting both of them gaining its powers and name and being separated. This means that the story is about Astreia (now Diabellestar) is trying to save herself and her sister figure (now Diabellze) from Diabell.
- The reason I speculate that they had those powers is because of the lack of a figure representing Morrian (Risette's weapon post transformation) and the implication that Flamberge was already a Sinful Spoil (per its OCG name) or became one after Astrea/Diabellstar slayed it (as per Poplar's...existence)
- Risette case is due to statistical matters. Her current form begin a LIGHT Illusion monster whereas Diabell is also a LIGHT Illusion monster. That means her parametais are idential to Diabell's save for the level (Diabell's a level 8 monster)
As an aside the focus on Level 2 mosnters, downplayed a sit is, and versions of the protagonist in more calm times give me Manadium vibes.
Here's our first look at the next anime set too. Definitely an eclectic mix.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyguess this means people are going for apollousa turbo next.
Didn't do anything about Diabellstar engine, but it would at least crash the ceiling a little.
Linkuriboh ban is something that was prolly overdue, but that almiraj wasn't also banned is a wierd thing considering their similar role
Linkuriboh has two advantages over it, it doesn't require a normal summoned monster, and Linkuriboh could tribute Snake-Eye monsters to dodge Imperm and Effect Veiler.
Shame though, if this came to MD my Dino deck would be in serious trouble since Linkuriboh is a major part of getting to UCT on bad hands.
Linkuriboh was very good in Snake-Eyes. Like there's the Imperm dodge as mentioned, but also the way you could keep bringing it back every turn, continually proc'ing Poplar for free. And the thing where they'd summon it during you turn turn so you need to summon another monster to get over Apollousa. And giving access to Heatsoul lines.
In most other decks, though, Relinquished Anima does the important part of what Linkuriboh does. It's a very good hit in that sense; taking a bunch of options away from the top deck, but not killing the top deck, and having pretty minimal collateral damage on other decks.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."The card with the weirdest lock I have ever seen. You're only allowed to activate one more in-archetype effect for the rest of the turn. Which, until we get more Multchummy monsters, just means that if you draw all three copies of this card, you're only allowed to activate two of them.
Other than... obviously it's worse than Maxx C, but worse Maxx C is still probably good enough. At the absolute minimum it's a side deck card to beat decks like Floo. But, y'know, almost every deck summons from hand at least a little- the only archetype I can think of off-hand that bricks this completely is Runick. You might not get like five+ draws like you sometimes do off of Maxx C, but Pot of Greed is still a good card.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I'm gonna assume that this is supposed to be a more intentional version of DRulers, an series of cards meant to supplement other decks rather than being playable of its own, and using staple effects to do so.
This one will prolly be some play at least and will definitely be a 100$ secret in the TCG release
Between Blossom and Snake Eye, and now these cards, "Ash" is going to become one of players' most used words.
New abridged episode just dropped, btw.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyAnimation Chronicle cover reveal! We've got the long-awaited return of Performages and... the random Allure Queen boss from VRAINS?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."God damn time Dennis got his support. And I would be surprised about the Allure Queen... were it not for the fact that VRAINS is severely lacking in characters whose decks actually exist, and there's not enough room for Windy, Lightning, or Blood Shepherd's decks, and Bohman's deck is just as garbage and convoluted as he is. So Queen's cards getting printed isn't surprising to me.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!
New Diabellstar lore archetype just dropped. Possibly even being an origin of some sort.
