What we can guess now is that Mizar is the most marketable of the group in light duelist pack, which makes me thonk we wont be getting cydras cause otherwise hed be fron amd center. The conspicuous AFD errata last year makes me think she will finally get her own strategy here and then be buffed with AC stuff later.

I can see Ruka getting new stuff in a main set instead (since in my opinion it will take more than 5-7 cards to fix her terrible deck, only main set has that kind of space to accommodate her), then crosspromote it by printing her manga deck in Animation Chronicle.

That would allow LIGHT DP to have Arcana Force as the third deck there.

seems unlikely TBH. for one. the argument could be made that AC needs the main set space more (esp considering that half of the arcana is missing. Even if you count the backrow, there is the issue of needing to search it) and that the core at it currently stands needed to be replaced like with Agents and Naturia and I don't think that could be done with 7 cards)

Also, given that Sartorious is a GX chaartcer and the assumtpion being the that attribute mascots would have one epr non rush series, the fact that they doubled down on ZEXAL meant that GX is unlikely to get a theme in.

TBH, Konami maintained their position as being on the bleeding edge of powercreep and had set a precedent for bloated single cards designed to hard carry entire themes. A hypothetical archetype based off Luna's cards would likely follow a similar route to compensate for any missing support if Konami wanted it to be meta (very unlikely, especially since they had to ban AFD in the past), or just in general.

Uh I feel like GX will get something due to its anniversary.

I've always thought a proper light of destruction deck would be cool.

okay so a bit of an update of the lore, from what im able to gather:

• The Genex were unwitting pawns of Tierra all along. Once Sophia was revived in that war a long time ago, a special program started auto booting up that basically said "Kill Sophia and scorch the land of everything to make room for my return." Basically Tierra had plans for returning since the Worm saga.

• Since this was back during Sophia's revival and assualt, the genex aren't "back", but got suddenly lore jumpscared back into importance.

• Lara never died in the war, but was fighting the 11th servant of Infernoids while Zefraath and Tierra were waging the 1000 day war.

• when the Zefra's gaave their power to Zefraath, the reverted to non-Zefra forms. Pilica went back to her Gusto powers during this time.

• All in all, the new lore hasnt moved the timeline forward, the end of the current DT Timeline is the end of the Zefra War.

'Average yugioh storyline features apocalypses' factoid actually statistical error. Average yugioh storyline features no apocalypses. Duel Terminal Georg, who lives in bad decks and has 10,000 apocalypses per booster pack, is a statistical outlier adn should not have been counted.

So... what did that mean for Wen then? Was Reshaddoll Wen her depowered form, meaning the wings she got from the Zefra were permanent? Or did she revert to just being Ritual Beast Tamer Wen?

Ftw the angelic wings were on pettlephin (and Rampengu), the ones on the kids themselves were different and came after their Zefra incarnations.

As fow for Wen got them. I'm assuming it was a side effect of her innate powers and her stint as a puppet (and that it occured during the three year war)

So uh you think we'll ever get a Zorc deck. Or an upgraded Bakura one. It's weird but despite being the origonal Big Bad of the franchise. He weirdly doesn't get much.

We still don't even have Necro Lock, the actual final boss deck of the original series.

It's weird since Bakura is like the most popular villain in the franchise (expect Kaiba).

And he weirdly gets nothing. Even Diabond doesn't have it's updated Verison released.

I really wish they'd make a full Diabound archetype, potentially with some ties to Change of Heart, and populate it with level 3, 4, and 9 Fiends and Zombies, like his other cards.

Nope, only the weakest Diabound form (the "Kernel") has been released as a card, likely because it was the only one seen as a card in the show - the higher forms were Ka monsters.

I was thinking about the Yu-Gi-Oh card Diabellstar the Black Witch and the Digimon BeelStarmon / BelleStarmon, and about their name similarities, and found out from the trivia page for Diabellstar that there actually was an American outlaw named Belle Starr, and both of those words were part of her actual name, so her name wasn't itself a reference.
