Auto-saving in AC seems like a mixed bag.
I was playing the GameCube game a while ago and found a space shuttle in the dump.
The Protomen enhanced my life.A part of me wishes they'd bring back the dump or at least allow it as an option. I like it aesthetically, even if it's less convenient than the recycling center.
Weeds actually have use now as either as selling or crafting.
Also, a seaplane is confirmed as the main mode of transportation.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."It looks so good!
Weeds are useful? Interesting. Now if only there was a way to permanently get rid of weeds.
Getting a tan in New Leaf is impossible, I swear. It's way harder than in other games. I stand around for 30 minutes - 2 hours each day like people say, but see no change. Thank goodness this new game allows for skin tone options.
Edit:
The character has a cellphone now? That feels so weird.

Animal Crossing Game Franchise Gets Manga in December
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. The series is basically a ready-made slice-of-life setting. I'm surprised it's taken them this long to try a manga.
It makes sense why it's coming out now with New Horizons on the horizon.
Still weird the series got a anime film before it even got a manga series and it'll be 14 years since the movie came out.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."A ton of new artwork and stills showing off customization options.
In honor of Toy Day today, let's look at a video that shows glitches concerning New Leaf's version.

EDIT: Full boxart◊
Looks like Harvey is back and likely handles the off island stuff. The pilot is a completely new character. A new beaver likely replaces Chip, or is maybe related to him.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Animal Crossing trademark filed by Nintendo in mid-December.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Some stuff I'm hoping for in New Horizons, whether new stuff or returning from past games, mostly copypasting my post from another forum:
- Lost and Found being available from the start or at least unlocked through regular gameplay (still salty about never getting it in New Leaf...)
- Prevent villagers from moving out when in boxes!
- Some kind of "toolbox" storage for tools, whether as a separate thing or as one inventory slot. A full set of tools takes up a good amount of storage space...
- More frequent conversations between villagers! I feel they happen too rarely in NL, I recently had several cases of two villagers walking INTO each other for a bit (one time with three!) but they never started talking, while in WW it seemed like they'd start talking almost every time they got close.
- Town tune storage - having the option to save a number of town tunes and switch between them.
- Pants and skirt patterns, why limit it to shirts/dresses? Also a "bodysuit" type pattern that could also be used for shirt+pants combo outfits (with adjustable sleeve and pant lengths)
- More on-hand pattern storage! If you like making clothes (and keeping them as regular outfits), 10 fills up WAY too fast, especially if you also want non-clothing designs like paths and other ground designs (I usually don't make paths but I know a lot of players do)
- A place to upload and download patterns! Searching by pattern name, or entering the pattern's code to find a specific one
- Being able to save in-progress designs and coming back later instead of having to save an unfinished design and pay again to keep working on it... (if pro designs still cost Bells to make?)
- Custom masks - make patterns for masks and similar to put on your face. With one of the "colors" being blank space so you could make holes, half-masks, make it only cover your eyes ect.
- More characters for town name, names, character catchphrases and greetings ect. (partially because I recently gave a villager a greeting that was ONE letter too long)
- Constellations! They were fun and I'd love to see them back
- Bottled mail would also be fun to see back, would fit the island setting too
...can you tell I really like designing custom patterns
"Leftover items still have value!"New Horizon's preorders begin in Japan on February 8th.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."One of Nintendo's press sites uploaded a bunch of HD renders of a large number of villagers and GameXplain made a 22 minute video showing them off
So it's still 30 fps huh
I'm just happy that my favorite villager is in .
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Here's a small GamXplain analysis of a Taiwanese advertisement of the game
I wish they'd give certain male villagers their long shirts back. Bob looks weird without his "dress".
While it hasn't been confirmed, it's looking like save data cannot be transferred between systems.
My guess is that full system transfers are fine, but user ones aren't. The only issue I've seen discussed is a person sharing a Switch with others and being the only Animal Crossing user. They would have to go through the trouble of full system transferring and the transferring other people's profiles back tonthe original Switch.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I mean that has been known as early as E3.
Mr. Resetti got fired because New Horizons will have an auto-save feature.
I really hope there's a way to bring him into the game at some point, even if he's just a standard, but rare villager.
Also, New Leaf's Director Aya Kyogoku just recently got a promotion to Manager of EPD Group 5 while Nogami got a promotion to Deputy General Manager and Producer.
