Got my stringfish, and my missing hybrid flowers! Now tomorrow I'm gonna have to move Mitzi's house to expand my second-level cliff so that I can further plant my rainbow garden...
Two more dupes today: basement flooring from Beardo aaand another log garden lounge from a message bottle. The game really must not have liked me not taking Pecan... which has now been further proven by the fact that I received yet another log stool recipe from Tammi.

to offload what surplus I can. If you're looking for particular DIYs, or perhaps other resources like bells, gold nuggets, star fragments, etc., you may just find someone with a mutual interest.

I tried trading with Redditors once... only managed to trade 6 NMT for a shell fountain recipe and a climbing wall for a gold armour recipe someone's Raymond was crafting (that person also gave me my purple tulips iirc) before quickly getting so overwhelmed by the amount of people commenting on my post that I just deleted it and deactivated my account. Pretty sure I have a lot of people angry with me now...

Found the last fossil I was missing (stegosaurus torso), so now my fossil wing is complete and I can now turn all those priceless fossils that scientists would clamor for into doorplates

But what if the fossil you've turned into a doorplate is the torso of the decorative T-Rex you'll decide on a whim to install in front of your museum tomorrow, and it'll sit there, incomplete, for months because the game just won't spawn another T-Rex torso?
You'd better just save all your fossils in your home storage, just in case.

Ironically, the doorplates bit me on the ass in a different way, as I made two, and one of my Nookmiles+ was to assess 3 fossils
Anyhow, I finally got a purple hyacinth not from my oranges or blues, but from a couple red and yellows. I don't know how, and I'm scared to know how

Hey, just roll with it. I got my first black tulip a few days ago from two of my oranges; still no sign of any purples... And I've had purple mums spawned from yellow ones for months all nicely arranged and haven't managed to spawn a single green. It'll happen when it happens.

Found a workaround to the dupes problem: have a full inventory, see what they're crafting, and if it's a dupe, just avoid them until the next villager is crafting. Bones tried to give me a matryoshka dupe but my pockets were full lmao
Also I used Nook Shopping to check the fossils I had against a list of all of them that I found, and discovered I'm missing a single solitary fossil: the diplo tail. I have the tail tip, yes, but not the other half. May RNG bless me tomorrow so that I may make fossil doorplates...

Apologies for the double post, but I sold all the dupes I had in my inventory yesterday - keeping the ones in my basement to bring out at some point - and today... the hunt began.
- Island 1: Olive. Cute, but not who I'm looking for.
- Island 2: Boots. Not... really fond of most of the alligators? At the very least I got an aroma pot DIY out of this one.
- Island 3: Rooney. Yeah nah mate, I've already got Octavian as my cranky villager.
- Island 4: T-Bone. Again, don't need another cranky.
- Island 5: Lyman. Do I look like I want to go back to having 3 jocks?
- Island 6: Spike. Pretty cool, but again, not who I'm after. Would probably take him in a heartbeat if I didn't already have Octavian.
- Island 7: Gwen. This was particularly hilarious because that's the name of one of my irl friends, whom I promptly showed this to in our Animal Crossing group chat. Her response? "I'm a bird~" followed shortly by "She's wearing green tho how disappointing 😂😂"... which quickly led into a tangent about possible villagers with the names of everyone in the chat and just having an island with all of them. (For those wondering, I did not take Gwen-the-penguin, because she wasn't in my top 5 for snooty villagers, that being - in descending order - Judy, Yuka, Freya, Whitney, and Diana.)
- Island 8: Broccolo. I don't really need another lazy villager, as I'm currently fostering Bones for a friend, and once said friend has an empty plot, I'm going to get Filbert to put Bones in boxes via amiibo so the friend can come and get Bones. So as cute as I find this little mousey, he's out.
- Island 9: Boris. Ugh, no thanks.
- Island 10: Kidd! DING DING DING! We have a winner! This dude may be number 5 in my top 5 smugs, but he's in the top 5 all the same, so he's mine for the taking! Welcome to Red Moon, my fellow goat! Damn, it only took 10 Nook Miles Tickets to get one of my dreamies... wish I'd had this kinda luck when Astrid moved out. Woulda saved me a lot of waiting and a LOT of resets to get Bones to give Sprocket the boot.
