I thought new day happened on 6am like other games

"Leftover items still have value!"While I don't remember for Wild World or City Folk, the original, New Leaf, and New Horizons all have the town reset at 5 am.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Lurker post: Just a heads up, people have already figured out how to dupe items in New Horizons.
Finally got my island paradise of Voya Nui set up.
Now to prepare to pay back Nook or get kneecaped

Silence is golden, noise is platinum. Keelah se'laiTom Nook has made me his slave. I can never escape him now.
Also, I love my androgynous character design.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Been playing New Horizons since around 8 this morning. I noticed a bunch of small, but really nice details that they included, such as being able to buy the town fruit, and the presence of half-squares when placing furniture.
It's a shame that day 1 drag is still kind of a thing with the new game, since that's what killed me when playing New Leaf. It's not as bad, since your island is pretty trashed and needs to be cleaned up; I just wish I could explore more than the one corner of the landscape.
Also, dream K.K. Slider is giving me some serious The Stand vibes, considering the current pandemic going on. Let's hope that this is just unfortunate and not ominous.
If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?I'm a filthy time traveller and my god the progression in this game is the best this series has been
Tho I wished the clothes shop was open sooner. I want a cute dress dammit
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaWeeds double in value when you use them in crafting, but then they no longer count toward the Greedy Weeder Nook Miles achievement. Hmm... HMM...
Another thing I noticed, wasp stings are semi-persistent now, meaning they don't go away if you save and reset. Not sure if they last overnight, though.

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?Various fun things I've discovered:
- You can jump over holes
- Balloon presents might contain Bells (so far I found 5000 and 10000-Bell ones)
Also new pro designs are fun, though I wish you could fully mix-and-match sleeve lengths and clothing shapes/types (maybe more can be unlocked?) And still no custom pants or shoes, I just want my full cosplay costumes x3
Animals' "you've talked to me a lot"-type messages also doesn't seem to go stop if you save and go back to playing later that day?

"Leftover items still have value!"I mean, heck, I only talk to like two other people IRL and they get sick of me after a couple of hours, too. You can't have an acceptable break from reality if it IS reality.
I can totally understand why they did it, though. It's not the kind of game you're supposed to play for hours on end, just maybe an hour or two a day. It's kind of the game's way of saying "Go outside, and we don't mean virtually".

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?I’ve gotten a few pieces of clothing from balloons, but that’s all so far. They’re cute, though! Right now I’m wearing one that’s a pink hoodie long enough to count as a dress.
I can only reach about a third of my island so far, so I’m looking forward to getting the vaulting pole. Looked up how to do that.
Aww, no custom pants or non-dress skirts still? That sucks.

Oh man people are gonna be pissed upon realizing Blathers will only accept 15 donations before applying for a museum upgrade. And then the next day he won't be there due to construction.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.I mean at that point you'll prolly have a house and storage so it's not that big a deal
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaI got my pole today and explored the second third of the island.
Managed to get the Museum done pretty easily and visited an island.
I'm gatekept by the need for more ores, but I don't want to use Nook Miles on Island tickets until I have more inventory space.
So for the meantime I'm going to focus on just doing some fishing and bug catching to get some bells.
EDIT: Once more information is known I hope someone makes a guide about which bugs and fish are needed to be caught before the end of each month.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI just placed bugs and fish all over the place until the next day comes and I can get the museum
"Leftover items still have value!"x3 Good thing, too. I swear to god I have never had this much trouble organizing a pocket full of fish and bugs, and I've had many a nocturnal venture to Tortimer Island seven or eight years ago.
Which, speaking of, I hope has an adequate replacement in the form of island tours which should open up tomorrow. I'll admit that I'm a shameless resource hoarder (as my ventures into Minecraft can tell you), so I'll likely be using them... a fair amount, I'll say?

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated?I’m looking forward to visiting other people’s islands. Had about five people on my friends list online playing this today, but couldn’t visit any of them. Would’ve been the same on their end unless any of them time traveled.

No need to expand storage, you can literally dump your fish and bugs in front of Blathers' spot. That's what everyone's doing! Remember that you can stack smaller cages on bigger ones too.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. That was some great luck on my end just now.
I got home at 10 tonight and decided to do a bit of fishing.
About 30,000 bells worth later I decided to keep going until I could pay off my 98,000 debt. At 12:30 with 22,000 left to go I got a 30,000 bell sack from a balloon and then on the way back found a Gar in the pond for an extra 6,000 bells!
So hopefully my upgrade will be ready in the morning.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobWait, so. Is there a restriction for picking up items if you're a best friend?
Because if not, we may finally have bug/fish trading.
Edit: Just tested it, no such luck.

If a majority agree, does it make it right? If a murderer is acquitted by the masses, is their crime vindicated? Not going to lie, I would love to read Merry's favorite comic about the Princess of Rocketboarding and the Princess of Explosions.
holy shit you can actually see some of your river fish you donated to the museum swimming in the water parts of the bug section
this game is real fuckin neato
also when you donate a butterfly like 3-4 of them spawn in the museum and sometimes youll see them in the bigger section of the insect area
