Look at the face and the shirt and that will give you your answer...
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!His face says "insufferable", his shirt is covered in science is why it won the last image pickin' crowner for this page.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't know the source material either but the man looks like the personification of the trope. I say it's fine.
I have no idea who this guy is, but his face says arrogant prick and his shirt says DNA. The combination of the two says this trope. He works.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSomeone hasn't seen Big Bang Theory? Or atleast know the character from all the gushing on TV Tropes... I am honestly shocked.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I don't own a TV at the moment and it hasn't come up in the stuff I've been doing which tends to be a lot more organizational than reading examples. I've heard mention of it, vaguely, but it's not on any of the tropes I curate. I couldn't tell you what it was about.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickEh; I don't care for it.
To be honest, I haven't watched anything in CBS, ABC, NBC, or Fox (other than sports and their sunday animated block) for a good decade now. I'm not familiar with The Big Bang Theory at all.
I haven't seen it. The character does look rather insufferable, though.
Sheldon is this trope personified...if that pic was chosen in a previous thread, let's leave it.
I have no problem with it.. It's too bad that his shirt isn't more science-y and arrogant.
Looks good to me. No idea who that is or what show he's on.
(Also, his shirt has DNA helices on it, pretty nerdy :)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't think we need anything else.
Fight smart, not fair.
How do I infer that the person in the picture is a genius, and particularly insufferable, without knowing the source material?
