Confusingly written rant: Alien Scrappy

While the examples and name seem clear enough, the trope description is a difficult to understand rant about such characters. The description appears to be "Small, Annoying Creature Hand Wave'd by being an alien", whatever that means. According to the archived discussion, the trope was created solely as an attack on "characters that are stupid and unrealistic when compared to the rest of the cast". The page's creator also said that the difference between this trope and Small, Annoying Creature is that this trope doesn't have to be small.

I don't know why this has escaped the TRS for so long, but the description is clearly just bad. The question is, whether we actually need a trope for what everyone's assumed this to be - The Scrappy, But An Alien.

Kill it dead. We already have The Scrappy, and this is just a condescending extension of that.
