Hm. First time I've heard them called that.
They're comets that can grant wishes. Seems logical to me. You could also call them Clockwork Kitty-Face Space Genies, but that's a little long.
YAY! I beat Soul Melter EX solo!
Magolor is a clear winner among the last-wave Dream Friends. The invincibility frames on Ultra Sword are ridiculous, not to mention the utility of Black Hole, and his extended air "dodge".
I have a message from another time...Oh geeze I just realized. With them now playable, I really hope the Mages being sisters is just a nun thing because otherwise the "kissing to share health" mechanic becomes very uncomfortable.
I mean, it's already weird that you can make an explicit child like Adeleine do food-sharing with presumed-adult characters like Dedede, Susie, and Daroach.
I guess we're just supposed to not really look at it as kissing.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Of course it's not kissing, they're just regurgitating what they ate into their friends' gullets.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.this vid has some spoilers for the new update so imma just link it, but here's another returning character we havent seen in a while
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaNever thought it was illogical or anything, I just never heard the name. If I ever called them anything, it'd probably be "Clockwork Stars", but I don't think I've ever had a reason to do so yet.
Of the new Dream Friends, I actually find all of them enjoyable, though Susie felt like she takes more effort to really shine, IMO. I probably like her, the Mages, and Taranza the most. Magalor's cool and all, but he sort of feels similar to Marx to me, despite all the differences they have.
That's the main reason I still can't get behind Magolor as a character actually. That, and I just don't find his design all that interesting. Why did he have to be the one that's awesome and game-breaking now?
Anyway, I've never heard Nova and Star Dream called "Wish Comets" either. I thought their official name, or at least their most popular fan name, was "Clockwork Stars." I definitely prefer that for creativity, but I usually just call them Nova and Star Dream regardless.
I literally just made up "Wish Comet" on the spot because I couldn't think of anything else to call them.
The only major mystery left is "Who TF are the Ancients".
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaOh man Soul Melter EX is incredibly difficult. I got all the way to the three sisters boss fight with Goku Staff, and three Three Sisters as allies on my first try.
I lost when I got infinited at ~60% health, which is bullshit.
It doesn't seem too bad besides that, though. Especially if you know where to get food during a couple of the boss fights.
I might switch up two of the Three Sisters friends for a couple other characters. Maybe Marx and Magalor? It's hard to beat the sheer damage that the three sisters as allies can do if they all spam their super strong moves. I want to use Adeline and Ribbon but their health is so low that they don't do much, and they don't really have any ridiculously strong moves.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeAdeline and Ribbon are good if you want to just heal everybody.
Edit: I just finished Heroes in Another Dimension. 114 friendhearts.

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Fairy Dance and the Kracko or Ninja paintings are decent defensive options for Adeline.
I have a message from another time...Yeah Adeline does have good defensive options, but I found a solid strat using the Three Sisters, Magalor, and Marx as my friends. I can just use Yoyo or Staff and spam their down > up + b move for massive i frames and damage, and since i have all the elements available to me i can just adapt for each boss fight.
The issue comes when i get to the three sisters fight, since every time i've made it there i just got taken from like 80% health straight to 0% because of them using all three of their ultimate attacks at once
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI dunno, Susie's blaster + wind power is a hilariously potent combo, especially for bosses.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe Three Mage Sisters have their own secret where you can counter their special attacks and make them stun and damage themselves with a special trick, like zapping the water stream of Francesca's soda gun with electricity to shock her and cutting the fuse on Flamberge's canon to make it explode on her (I don't remember what Van's is). Maybe try those the next time they unload all of their special attacks at once?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. If I remember correctly, Tater Tot's is just hitting her a lot.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Zan Partizanne can be knocked out of Electric Eclair by hitting her with water, from what I have heard.
I have a message from another time...Yep.
Though, I don't think the counters work in their team-up battle. Or at least they attack so quickly that it's more difficult to knock them out of their attacks. I remember trying to douse Flamberg's cannon fuse, but it ended up going off anyway, and I couldn't tell if I just missed or if the fuse just burned out that fast/ignored the attack altogether.
Also keep in mind that if you have Fire/fire-element abilities, you can melt some of Fran's ice shards and get food from them, similar to how Water can "purify" the food Dedede throws at you so you're able to eat them. As far as I can tell, this happens even on Soul Melter EX. The extra health can help you survive the fight longer.
I think my next goal after I finish everyone's Guest Star modes is to try to beat Soul Melter EX on my own. My brothers and I did the 3-player run, but since I played as the Sisters, the run ended up not being as difficult as I was expecting.
Also, someone said that Shadow/Mirror Kirby is in the game too, but I haven't seen him at all. Is it some sort of Easter Egg?

Go to the top of Jambastion Fortress and wait a bit. Shadow Kirby will fly around on the Warp Star every now and then.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. From what I’ve seen he can appear in the skies of the Jambastion map if you wander around the entrance to the last stage on that map. He’ll slowly ride a warp star across the sky and then disappear
As for the Mage sisters fight, I had more success trying to avoid the moves by hovering between the danger zones for Flamberge and Zan, or by spamming a convenient invulnerable attack to escape.
I have a message from another time...Managed to complete my second Soul Melter EX solo run. Beam ability is good in this game. Came down to just a sliver of health, but now I've got two sparkly green crowns on my screen that were earned with no CPU allies.
Some of the blind spots in Void's beam spams are pretty funny. Hiding behind the sources of the beams works for the horizontal ones he sets down at the sides of the arena, and his screen-filling barrage at the end of his attack cycle can be avoided by just hovering directly in front of Void himself; he's the blind spot.

Wish Comets: Nova and Star Dream.
