Exactly why I don't want it to be canon. Sure, Kirby games have never been known for their spectacular writing (except for Planet Robobot maybe) but there's really no excuse for Magalor to be both Alive and also a good guy. Especially if you take the arena as canon in which case he was killed 'twice!'

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."The dying thing is maybe a bit of a stretch, but I have no problem with him being a good guy now. Kirby's a well-known All-Loving Hero and Magolor just wasn't all that evil to begin with. Even without the excuse of being corrupted by the Master Crown or whatever, Kirby and co. stopped him before he could do anything more than try to kill them. (And really, so many of Kirby's current allies have tried to kill him that it's hardly a qualifier.)
Its definitely a lot more plausible to justify Magolor being alive and a good guy than it is for Marx.
I'm now imagining Marx and Magolor running into each other with the dream friend thing and are like "Oh, hey, you tricked Kirby into giving you ultimate power too? Cool!" Of course, there are implications that Magolor knew Marx but what the heck.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Honestly, that's why I'm not that big a fan of Magolor. He just seemed like a less interesting Marx ripoff in his debut, but his subsequent Heel–Face Turn actually made him more likable and endearing to me, especially with him outright cracking jokes about his former villainy. As far as villains turned allies go, the Squeaks are still my favorite. Unless you count Dedede, but he never really made the FULL transition.
Dedede doesn't even count as an Anti-Hero which amuses me. The Squeaks are my favorite too.
"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."Rewatching the wave 3 update video again, I noticed parallel Hyness in the background. He now wears dark clothes so it's hard to see.

Ending happens: Just tear my heart out, why don't ya? ;-;
WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaOh, sweet, he has his cage move from TKCD.

I had no idea that you could just jump through her robot's upper half.
Hah, her Shuttle Loop has her make a heart instead of just a normal circle.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! As usual, the one who can take elements tend to be more interesting than the others.
That, and I loved Planet Robobot so... yeah.

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaAlso Adeleine was going to be voiced. They even had a staff member picked out.

The ending to that video.

Called it!
Checking pixiv and a bit of twitter, apparently some Japanese people also found it hard to believe that Marx, DMK and Magolor could become our "friends".
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaFrom what I recall, both Marx and Dark Knight both have descriptions that amount to them taking an Enemy Mine situation and joining Kirby because he's probably the best way to get to the Big Bad. We haven't seen Magalor's yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's in a similar boat. I personally think he joined because he somehow feels a faint presence of something similar to the Master Crown and joined Kirby to figure out what it is, though whether or not Magalor is still an enemy towards Kirby or his friend by now has not bearing on that theory.
I kind of feel like Susie is in a similar boat as Mag, to be honest. She bids Kirby to fight Star Dream and is seen leaving Pop Star at the end of Robobot, but we have no confirmation as to whether or not she was also pulling an Enemy Mine temporary partnership and left quietly as a way of thanking him for saving the universe or if she had a change of heart after the fight and left for some other reason (such as regret).
I want to say that Taranza is the only one we know who had a change of heart by the end of his debut game, but then again the Kirby Clash spin-off had him as a villain again (that was eventually usurped by his Mirror self) and they're using that game as a reference point for certain moves, so who knows what they'll do.
Of course, all this could be moot if they're emphasizing the "Dream" part of Dream Friends and they're not actually participating in the actual game's plot at all. After all, they already said that extra modes aren't actually canon, despite them often having more lore than the main game does, so the extra Dream Friends could fall under that umbrella as well.
Anyways for music, I expect Magalor to have a new remix of C-R-O-W-N-E-D, but I wouldn't be surprised if they mix in the Sorcerer form theme as well.
Taranza will probably just have a new version of Moonstruck Blossom, just to emphasize how much he cares about Sectonia. They might sneak in Dirty & Beauty riffs too. I don't think his boss music from Kirby Clash will be used, but never say never.
I feel Susie is much more of a wild card. I'd be happy if Star Dream' s first phase is used, probably with Kirby and the Halberd motifs changed for Haltman's, but they got a lot of tunes to work with that would fit for Susie, so I'll be surprised if they used any of Star Dream's boss themes in her final battle against Morpho.
I know Marx and DMK have their more personal reasons for this adventure, and Magolor would probably go similarly. Still, especially at the first glance (and with the knowledge of prior games) the fans would still be scratching their heads on how they could be "friends". (And their bio make it look like they aren't really "friends" either)
As for Susie, as (as you said) her situation regarding her change of heart is unclear, many people think (at least here) she's still a bad guy. However, from what I've seen, the Japanese think she could be a good guy, instead.
About the "extra mode" thing... Dream Friends can be summoned in the main story mode too, so I won't dispute its existence. The only thing ambiguous now is what it is that the Dream Rod exactly do.
For Susie's theme, it's likely that they'll follow the short jingle like the other "special end boss themes" - that is, a remix of The Noble Haltmann.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaWe've heard Susie's jingle already. It is indeed the main notes of The Noble Haltmann.
As for Marx and DMK, the in-game descriptions suggest Marx is willing to do whatever so long as you keep him well-fed, and DMK is just playing along until he can get ahold of the power of the hearts for himself. But again, I take their presence with a grain of salt. They're all just fun bonus characters we're not really supposed to think too hard about with regard to Kirby lore.
