I always assumed that Ren's power was tied to the fact that her wish was the result of an attempted suicide, rather than an accident like the other two.
Heart of StoneEven looking at Sayaka and Yuma is interesting. They both wished to heal someone else, but Sayaka heals her own injuries while Yuma heals others' wounds. Yuuri from Kazumi could also heal people after making a healing wish. Maybe you get the ability to heal other people if your wish repairs more grievous harm?
Now maybe we've just never seen Sayaka healing other people, but it seems like something she would have done if she could? I dunno.
Oissu!Because Sayaka's wish was more selfish in intentions than Yuma's
Heart of StoneExtra material confirms that Sayaka is perfectly capable of healing other people. Her power is fast healing in general. Not just of herself.
Come to think of it, her connect did grant the Survive buff in Magireco right?
Sayaka's Connect gave HP Regeneration, her Magia/Doppel gave herself Survive and so did her SE. The kimono version of Sayaka is the one with Survive on her Connect.
Alright from What I gathered, Arc 2 Chapter 4 is out and I was wondering if anyone has a summary. I found a translation on the PM wiki and could gleam context from there and the YMMV page specially Midori being killed off for real, the last Kimochi popping up as a result and Ikuni getting it. The other plot point I managed to gleam is that the KMU is negotiating something with Promise Blood and with Iroha offering to join forces and Touka and Nemu offering to let themselves be killed (again) but I want to ask if these details are accurate and if there is some context I missed.

The chronology of everything that happens;
- After Kyubey pretty much makes it clear that he's an asshole who would rather have the girls killed anyway, Iroha decides that fighting isn't really going to fix anything. If Promised Blood simply won't accept peace, then the Union will be the one who surrender as long as PB will continue the Union's goal to spread the Doppel barrier to the rest of the world.
- When PB's representatives (Hikaru and Sakuya) are skeptical with that offer, Touka and Nemu offer their Soul Gem as insurance. The two will be in PB's mercy if PB accepts the white peace. Hikaru and Sakuya calls Yuna for her decision.
- Yuna's heart softens because Union continues to put themselves at disadvantage even after her assassination attempt on Iroha and Ui and decides to accept. However, because she's paranoid, she puts spies on the negotiation ground as insurance in case KMU betrays them.
- Ryou senses the spies and thinks PB will not honor the negotiation, so she decides to launch a counter-intelligence on her own accord. She decides to take everything she knows about PB's Mirror Witch warp gate to KMU.
- Ao senses her and attempt to destroy Ryou's camera, which holds the evidence, but misses and hit her Soul Gem. Yuna considers this as a proof that KMU are treacherous wretches and gives a call to attack every single Kamihama magical girl, even those who not directly affiliated with KMU, in their homes.
- However, at that moment, all Kimochi bracelets have been collected and the Kimochi enforce peace among the factions; they erect a barrier that prevent anyone from harming the other except for those who have the bracelets. Instead, the battle royale will be between the owners of the bracelets - Iroha, Felicia, Ikumi, Yuna, Juri, Ao, Shizuka, and Hime.
That's pretty much it. There's a subplot about how KMU decides to let Tokime have another one bracelet after Felicia kill-steal one and Tokime got their bracelet stolen by Neo-Magius anyway, but it's a little on the side.
more evidence if there was any needed that yuna has completely gone off the rails
Heart of StoneKinda want Nanaka to end up replacing Iroha as leader of KMU after Ryou's death.
Not really a good idea for several reason;
- Nanaka is outside of KMU. If she suddenly sashays in KMU, thinking that she can be the head honcho instead of the major reps of the wards like Hinano and Kanagi, she won't endear herself to anyone, even to her own subordinates (who unofficially join KMU out of their admiration to Iroha's Chronic Hero Syndrome).
- Iroha has the loyalty for those who matter in KMU; frontliners, intelligence officers, R&D for the Doppel barrier, logistics, etc.
- She's a Western girl. There's a lot of flags that foreshadow "Breakpoint: Season 2 Edition" in the story. Changing someone who has no attachment for the old resentment to someone who fought in the civil war will cause people to question KMU's goal for equal standing of magical girls between wards in the union.
- Nanaka doesn't have the correct temperament fix the situation. She's too aggressive and paranoid when it's better if they don't fight. The Stinger of this chapter outright says that Iroha is right in her attempt to negotiate peace, and the theme for the Kimochi is always about trust.
- Nanaka has no bracelet, so she's irrelevant as far as the Kimochi care.
So it seems Tsubaki from Suzune Magica is now playable in MR
Heart of StoneI'm honestly amazed by that not being hyper fanservicey after Haruka's and given that GAN is the one who designed Tsubaki.
You get the feeling the meguca that bcame her had some involvement with the Razzies
Whoever wrote that critic witch profile doesn't understand critics at all. You think we give ourselves flowers? Fucker, I've written several things in the course of my life and let me tell you, every motherfucking one of them gets fiercely pounded with every stake I have.
It's hard creating content when you're a critic, because you inevitably find yourself looking at what you wrote going, "Wait, this is actually complete garbage and I am a fucking hack." Usually within the day.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Razzie-jest aside I don't really think monsters born out of the emotions and corpses of pre-teen (at youngest) girls are an accurate source for how RL things work. Like I'm certain most babysitters aren't Child Haters (one possible fictional exception aside).
But then again that is speculation unless the original girl is revealed. And I think Raspberry seeing critics as self-congratulatory elitists says more about the girl that became her (and the witch herself ofc) than it does the writers.
If anything I also suspect that what you mentioned about self-critisms might possibly be one of two possible origins for Raspberry (the other being again, an ego that unlike Alina's, didn't match the quality of their art, and then predictably being eviscerated by critics). In other wors its either that she obsessed about her art not being up to standards, or tried to achieve fame despite her art not being up to standards only for it o be savaged. Both could easily be sources of despair for a budding artist.
Come to think of it I wonder if Alina herself was involved if that witch's origin.

Well I got my brother into this show. So far he says it's "intruiging", that Charlotte's minions remind him of the puffballs in Rejected, and that Kyubey is cute...
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1....How cute?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Alright so Sana joins the "Fused to an Uwasa" club (no points for guessing which), and I'd like to ask...how?
Excuse Plot to finally give Sana an alt.
The barebones description from the wiki is that:
Touka and Nemu were experimenting with backuping rumors since if Nemu dies the rumors will disappear, Ai volunteered as their test subject. A new rumor sorta came into existence in the process of the experiment that led to Nemu grabbing a stash of leftover energy from a Valentines rumor Yachiyo and Iroha killed to temporarily fuse Ai with Sana to deal with the mess and then the power ran out and they separated back to normal after talking for a bit.
Touka's attempt to do good once again blows up, and her effort to create a backup server for the Uwasa in case Nemu is dead ends up creating a Uwasa that is more dangerous than the original Radio Girl Rumor. Sana and Ai-chan use Power of Friendship to pacify the Uwasa. Because the experiment to create the Uwasa backup server is a bust, KMU abandon the experiment for now. Sana and Ai-chan say goodbye once again, but properly this time and not involving a traumatizing Mercy Kill.
Personal magics in Madoka seem like it can either be based on the person's wish, their personality or just be something kind of random. It's not super consistent. For example, so far we have three girls who made a wish along the lines of "I don't want to die" when they were only seconds from death: Mami (who of course had just been in a car accident), Hinano (who fucked up an experiment and filled the room with deadly gas) and Ren (who had Mid-Suicide Regret after jumping off of a building). Now, we don't actually know the exact wording of Mami's and Hinano's wishes (I've never found a source that confirms that Mami wished to "connect to life" so I just assume that's fanon), but according to them that's roughly what they wished for. And yet all three girls got very different powers.
Of course you could chalk it up to the three of them having different designers (though I'm not sure if Magireco character designers get to choose their characters' magic), but it sort of goes to show that there's no hard and fast rule even in the original anime.
Of course there are some girls whose magic is directly related to their wish (for example Rena wishing to be able to become someone else and gaining transformation magic or Sana wishing to disappear and becoming invisible). You also have a few cases of girls actually wishing for a specific power (for example Mito wishes for the power to connect peoples' hearts).
Then you have Masara, who made a contract just so that she wouldn't be bored so she wished for money and got invisibility (except she can turn hers off). Sometimes its basically random.

Fight for something, even if its meaningless.
