Vanitas summoned his Keyblade and settled into a combat stance. They weren't close enough just yet.

"You're overdoing it," said Shang Tsung. "Most heroes don't spend their time trying to act like hyperactive ten-year-olds. Just attack whatever's threatening the populace and people will worship you in no time. Of course, having some sort of value you always use to your advantage helps."

The sorcerer strode confidently towards the Emperor Building, but then realized he was being attacked by bees.

"Bees. My Gods," said the sorcerer. He stepped back and unleashed three flaming skulls at the bees.

"Azula! Vani! Start opening fire on the bees!"

The numbers start lowering but the bees start trying to sting the Metropolis group.

Shang Tsung sent a series of hellfire blasts up from the ground at the bees.

Azula considered a moment, then rather than start attacking the bees, stepped back, seemingly drawing up a substantial amount of heat around herself, wisps of smoke beginning to rise as she did so. "I have another idea...fellow hero! If these are anything like the vulture-bees back home, some smoke should calm them and we can...can...save them!"

The bees do start to leave from the smoke due to increasing bee senses. "Nice thinking Azula!"

Damn. Less agony for me to relish.

Azula nodded, wincing. "This isn't something I can do for a long time without letting the fire come so I wouldn't stand too close when I let this go..."

"Save them?" said Shang Tsung. "Azula, my dear, they're bees. They probably don't know any better than to attack in swarms. Unless you mean we should just drive them away, I'm pretty sure messing with their minds would be even more evil than killing them."

   "Don't run away...."   

   "Majora's not done with you yet...."   

This time, it raised its hands -

And the bees began to fall from the sky, threads of white light being drawn from their bodies, funneling into Majora's hands and creating a large red orb of light as they changed color -

   "Your lives... are given over to Chaos."   

   "Me."   

Then, Majora threw the sphere at the remaining bee - people.

The resulting explosion levelled all of them, turning them to ash - which scattered across in the wind.

   "All done."   

Norman shudders. "Um... that's not very heroic... You just murdered them all."

Necessary losses Normie

"No, Majora," said Shang Tsung. "If you go around killing everything you see, people will root against you."

Azula lowered her hands, scowling, and a large burst of flame abruptly shot from around her, scorching a small area to the dirt before receding, as she scolded Majora. "It is no fun to play the game if you are not going to get into your part! Now act like a hero and stop killing everything!"

"In the meantime," said Shang Tsung, "we should look around for clues. Maybe there's a citizen or two around here we can ask to find out more. Heroes protect citizens all the time, and sometimes the citizens give the heroes information as a reward for saving them."

Majora seemed incredulous.

   "Really? Cos that's what Link does...."   

   "Dodongo? He kills. Skulltula? He kills. Stalfos? He kills."   

   "Why is he allowed to kill everything in his way, when I can't? It's not fair!"   

Still, despite its sulking, it complied, and floated over to the Fire Nation princess.

   "Being good doesn't sound as fun now...."

Norman sighs. "Pretend you are a human. Does Link kill his kind?"

   "No... not at all..."   

   "...."   

   "Actually, Link's not a human...."   

   "So I bet he might. If you stood in his way, he might."   

   "So does that mean I get to kill humans now?"   

"Pretend you AND Link are humans."

   "Ok then..."   

Majora sighed for a moment - then seemed to perk up.

   "There must be something else to kill, right?"   

"There's always something to kill."

The group finally enters the building. "So... who wants the top and who wants the bottom? We need to explore both."

"I'll take the top," said Shang Tsung.

Azula immediately replastered the grin on her face, going back "in character."

"Tell me what you need me to do and I will do it! I just know I can do anything! I am so...full of hope and love for this mission!"

"Well," said Shang Tsung, "you could join me on the top of the building."

"Look, drop the act; you're not fooling anyone."

"Just let her appease the Nomads in her own way. So where you going vein boy?"
