Maybe when they remaster 3, Ridley will end up looking like Proteus as well there.
And we can see the Phazon corruption affecting his organic parts.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I'm probably going to wait for the physical release, but I also wonder if the other two Prime games will be released separately or as DLC for the Prime 1 physical.
Most certainly separately.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. This puts to bed a Gamecube NSO service btw
Mileena MadnessNintendo released a full remake of Zelda: Link's Awakening. And now added Game Boy for NSO, which includes Link's Awakening DX. So no, not really. It doesn't mean anything in either direction.
We're bound to get GameCube NSO eventually, just not for the Switch.
Anything to keep up hope Thousand Year Door will be enjoyed by a new generation.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I mainly want Samus Returns on Switch.
Mileena MadnessHaving a service for Gamecube games might not work. Rumors are the gb needed for those games might be too much for the Switch.
Mileena MadnessI'm not sure how well optimized the GC was, but due to how many of the games on it have been re-released in some form elsewhere, it may just be easier to remaster the games than emulate them on Switch Online. I know Skies of Arcadia alone is pure hell to emulate properly, and Metroid Prime itself will "break" (can't scan stuff) if certain things are enabled/disabled on an emulator.

"In a move surprising absolutely no one"hence why I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Wind Waker HD & Twilight Princess HD will be ported over to the Switch, and that other GC games like Paper Mario TTYD, F-Zero GX and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance will get the remaster treatment as well

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is a case of when, not if. Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn both are two very well loved Fire Emblem titles in the west, and would easily sell well.
Onto Metroid though, I wonder how long it'll be until Prime 2 hits...and if the games are being Remastered to buy time for Prime 4's development as "meat" for the fanbase to keep us from going rabid on them.

"In a move surprising absolutely no one"I definitely wouldn't mind Prime 2 getting the remaster treatment too. It was the first game I played of the Prime series, though by now I think the first game is the stronger of the three (which I know is a very common opinion).
I dunno, I wouldn't mind being able to play a version of the game with the rebalanced bosses and more traditional controls. The Wiimote pointer controls are very accurate and good, but I'm finding myself preferring a standard controller over it recently.

I am curious about Other M. Prime 2 and 3 are given, but that game needs more than HD facelift.
Mileena MadnessPrime 2's my favorite of the trilogy and one of my favorite games of all time, I hope to god it gets remastered.
What's other M? There has never been a game by the name of Other M that has been a travesty to the franchise, what are you talking about?
"In a move surprising absolutely no one"That would be a Zero Mission/Samus Return remake then. Less of updated graphics and more of a complete overhaul of the game narrative, combat and design. It can be done.
Just realized that if we get the rest of the Prime games, and Zero Mission ends up on Online (as I have little doubt it will eventually), we'll be very close to having every mainline game readily available for Switch all at once.
That leaves Samus Returns, Other M, and Hunters if you count it as 'mainline'. I'm not terribly optimistic about either of those making it except maybe Returns, and as mentioned before, we could truthfully do without Other M unless it got a straight up remake, which I really don't see happening.

How would a remake of Other M even go really?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Samus, the use of your weapons in a clearly hostile situation is authorized.
Mileena MadnessHonestly I struggle to imagine it. Metroid 1 and 2 are essential entries in the series that have rough edges that made them worth remaking. What aspect of Other M is even worth preserving?
Samus, the use of your defensive shielding is preemptively authorized for all situations, why are you even asking me this?
In other words, they’d need to come up with a different excuse for the Hell Run.
Parts of the gameplay are fun, and would be improved by having a proper controller instead of a sideways wiimote.

Well maybe a remake could improve the Ridley scene?

It also makes less sense here because there's still another Metroid game with Ridley in it before getting to Metroid Samus Returns.
