Coco isn't the right body shape to be a costume.
Two guys walk into a bar, the third guy ducked. If I'm not mistaken, Coco also kicks with her feet when she spin-attacks instead of using her arms like Crash. From a technical standpoint, that alone would give her entirely different frame data and hitboxes, wouldn't it?
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."If they've literally done it in the Crash games, I imagine the same is possible in Smash Bros.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniThe Crash Bandicoot games are platformers, and by nature of their gameplay don't need to worry nearly as much about precise hitboxes as a fighting game. That Coco works as a copy of Crash in the home games doesn't mean much about that working in Smash.
I missed the part where that's my problem. It does if they want it to be.
For example, the spin is easily accommodated the way the same way it’s dealt with in Crash itself: despite the difference in animation, the actual hitbox/aoe of the spin is visibly the same, as the spin aoe isn’t just the precise motions of their body but the blur/sphere that surrounds them.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Assuming that Crash does get in, Coco will probably just appear in the background of his stage.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I'm just betting that Crash will make it in the game. He's the most requested character to be in the game.
I also could've sworn Crash & Coco were roughly the same height?
They're inconsistent about that. Some games she's visibly taller, others have her visibly shorter. A version of her roughly at the same height as Crash would fit just fine with the rest of them.
SoundCloudHeights can be adjusted easily for costumes(as that was done for the Koopalings and Lucina before she became a full character). But that only works if they have the same bodyshape. Coco's body is actually pretty different when it comes to Smash. She could probably be a good clone, but that's kind of it. Costume or Echo wouldn't really work in this case. Albeit, it helps that for Bowser Jr., the moveset revolved around the mech, allowing them to easily make those costumes(as they shared similar enough proportions too).
Crash could get costumes referencing her design, but she wouldn't work as a straight costume. Even Alph had near enough the same bodyshape to pull that off, but he lost all his personality too(which is unfortunate, since he's acting weird in the game).
I'm just betting that Crash will make it in the game. He's the most requested character to be in the game.
Which is probably why Smash FA Qs now hates him. Granted, they hate whoever is the most common speculated. It's like Tall Poppy Syndrome but for Smash.
-Witty line-I feel like Coco works best as an Echo for Crash in the same vein as Ken.
It's been 3000 years…The one thing i think Crash lacks is a potential gimmick, i've been feeling like all the DLC characters are super gimmicky in one area or another. Even Banjo has a gimmick with Wonderwing being limited use.
Though i guess that's not a huge reason for his exclusion. It's just a pattern i noticed that most DLC are pretty gimmicky overall.
Uni catKen is a very different case of an Echo Fighter.
So kinda like Peach or Luigi?
Of course they do, why wouldn't that be the case?
It's funny because I remember people barely requesting Crash back in Smash 4. A lot of that had to with Smash 4 was near at end of the DLC. It's hardly surprising that Crash is now the most requested character to be in the game.
I realise this isn't the be-all and end-all for a character getting in, but how much of a presence does Crash have in Japan?
Sincerely insincereThat’s what I mean, yes.
It's been 3000 years…Pretty big all things considered
Crash used to be the best selling game in Japan until it was overtaken by Spiderman PS 4. Plus he got a lot of exclusive advertising there and the JP versions have extra stuff made for them.
The crash dance originated in Japan for instance.
Uni catx3 Crash was huge in the 90's, so much so that they made a Crash Bandicoot dance shortly after his first game. He does some of it in the 2nd and 3rd game whenever you 100% a level.

Ken has so many different properties in special moves in comparison to a lot of the Echo Fighters.
That being said, I'm still kinda curious how hard it would be to make Coco a clone? & not to the extent of Wolf & Luigi.
Crash gets in and some people will complain how Smash is being "flooded" with platformer characters, which is probably just revenge from those angered at all the anime swordsmen complaints.
-Witty line-That's probably because Crash had his big comeback well after the release of 3DS/Wii U. Before that, his franchise was pretty much dead and not on most people's radar.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI think characters like Crash, Spyro, and Doomslayer got really boosted in terms of being popular requests because they all had big revivals after Smash 4’s release.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I don't know why people keep insisting on Doomslayer,I get Crash though
New theme music also a boxPeople like Doom, it was one of the codifiers for First Person Shooters, and Doom/Animal Crossing memes
Err, where'd you get that? Because The N Trilogy didn't sell as much as the PS 1 games. Most of his success in Japan were pretty much history. Minecraft is still currently the most selling Western game in Japan.

Coco if anything would be half of Crash' costumes.
