By the way, my little Spirits project is still ongoing, if anyone wants to call dibs on any of the ones I haven't already done. I've been chipping away at it little by little for the past few weeks; no particular order. Perhaps I should start up a thread on this forum for it...
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Took a stab at Krystal
New theme music also a boxI mentioned possibly doing writeups for the Baten Kaitos characters, but I’m not really in the space for it right now. I know there are a few other people in this thread who know the games, so if any of you would rather do it first, I’m not laying claim or anything.
Concerning the idea that spirits deconfirm playable characters, couldn't the story just be that they were fought in Wo L, were freed and some spirits were able to get their forms back and join the roster as DLC.
Or Nintendo just goes 'We have character consistency rules?' and then shows off Robin Final Smashing Chrom with Chrom, with Robin and Chrom on the win screen as Chrom lightly applauds Chrom. Chrom.
-Witty line-x3: That's a start, but I reckon it can be cleaned up and fleshed out a touch further. The trophy descriptions from the previous games tended to be a couple of sentences in length, and covered things like where the character or object in question if from, what they can do, maybe how they relate to other important characters from their home games, perhaps a little one-liner joke if there's space left. Obviously, some things need to be abridged; I learned that the hard way with the Metal Gear Spirits I covered, because that series is crazy-nuts.
Personally, where possible, I've went by the general guideline of four or five sentences across six to eight lines, and even this is more than the old trophy descriptions did.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Hmmm,worked on it some more, added entry about Fox
New theme music also a boxSo female Joker's a thing in the new Persona 5 version. Her being in Smash is a pretty distinct possibility now.
It's been 3000 years…The new girl isn't female Joker.
This song needs more love.Basically we have no idea what's going on, except that it still isn't coming to Switch.
I gave descriptions to Ryota and Akari Hayami.
Off topic, if we ever get new Wave Race and 1080 games, I'd love if they had story modes for each character, and Ryota and Akari both turn out to support the other in their respective story modes.
Chrom.
Ukrainian Red CrossIs there any more information that can be included for them, in terms of things like backstory or events in their games? Having never been the owner of an N64 or Gamecube, I'm afraid I don't know much of anything about them myself. I just reckon another line or two for each would be ideal.
The last entries I made on that specific document were the Golden Sun characters and Rayman, and those were weeks ago. I should probably consider doing another few from it at some point...
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805The only game of theirs that I've played is 1080 Avalanche, and there isn't a whole heck of a lot to go on. The only other info we have is that Akari likes pop music and is dating Ricky, who has gotten her into punk.
Ukrainian Red CrossOkay, what the hell? I'm trying to clear the Adventure challenge where you have to win in the final round without being KOed. I just did it twice (one where I was on my last fighter in that round, the other where I didn't lose a stock through the entire run), and yet neither of them seemed to count? What gives?

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805The whole thing? The platforming segment, boss rush, and Galeem/Dharkon fight without losing a single stock?
Yeah, I did that. But, apparently, the game says no challenge unlock for me.
Oh, incidentally, I used Lucas (him being my long-standing main), using the Spirit loadout of Soma Cruz with Celebi (which I'd previously read was one of the best for it), for that run. Lucas' leaps are idea for the platforming segment, and he has PSI Magnet to help heal off further damage.

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Controversial opinion: character recovery peaked in creativity in Smash 64, with Ness (circle a projectile around your body to launch you the other way), Jigglypuff (no recovery whatsoever aside from jumps), and Yoshi (no recovery aside from one really good double jump).
After Smash 64, no recovery moves could compare in sheer creativity to these three titans, and most nowadays are just copy and pasted from a different character. Using these incredibly narrow standards, Sakurai is an uncreative hack who never should have made any game past the first one.

Counter: 4 was pretty original by having Little Mac die instead of being able to recover.
Uni catYeah but then he repeated himself by giving that ability to Simon, Richter and Wolf.
Counterpoint: Brawl has Snake’s drone, and Olinar’s chain of Pikmin.
Counter counterpoint: Snake has infinite recovery
Uni catThey still have to fix Ivysaur's up B recovery. I felt so bad against the guy I was playing against last night.
She's more muscular as well, so I think she actually got buffed in that respect.
It's been 3000 years…
