Big stages aren't all bad, Hyrule Temple is one of the fan-favorites. In general, it seems that stages with defined borders and blast zones tend to be more liked than walk-offs.
Hyrule Temple is the upper limit of size, to me. New Pork City, Great Cave Offensive, Palutena’s Temple, etc. are way too big.
I'm fine with New Pork City, and GCO is at least mitigated by the Danger Zones (though screen-stretching is still a pain).
Palutena's Temple is too big and has no mitigating factors, though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Big stages wouldn't be so bad but then there's always that one asshole who picks Sonic & just dicks around. Would be nice if they had penalty for that kind of style like Arcs does with their games.
Hyrule Temple, New Pork City, and Palutena's Temple are fine by me because you can pick where to fight for the most part. For The Great Cave Offensive, there's just too much RNG bullcrap with the minecarts, treasure chests, barrel cannons, and instant kill lava. Also, in my opinion, Gaur Plain's pretty bad because there's no central platform to safely stand on.
It's been 3000 years…Gaur Plain is super weird, but I appreciate it for trying to be totally atypical. Like, I prefer not to fight on it, but I don’t actively groan like I do if NPC or 75m come up.
As much I dislike Palutena's Temple, 75M is just the worst.
Everything about it is just so awkwardly design.
I've actually grown to tolerate 75M, now that the east side of the stage is no longer a walkoff, all floors are fall-through-able, and DK doesn't spam pistons as much. The disparate mess of platforms makes it more cumbersome than it should, but it's playable.
Mario Bros. and Hanenbow, though, I groan when they come up.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I’ve noticed that Hanenbow almost never comes up on random. Which is purely anecdotal, but I choose to believe is intentional. :P

Insta Kill lava = RNG, no.
Mario Bros. got the Balloon Fight treatment, it's better now.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.75m's also pretty bad, but I'm fine with it. As for Hanenbow, I get it on Random pretty regularly, usually when I play as characters who are awkward in the air.
It's been 3000 years…Stage I personally don't like that I never see brought up; Wrecking Crew.
It’s a weird one, but it doesn’t bother me.
Hanenbow is also visually and aurally unappealing. At least the other big stages have nice aesthetics and good tracks.
I also see people hating on Garden of Hope alot.

Is that the first Pikmin one or the second?
The second. I think Garden of Hope is actually a really solid stage with hazards off. Also, I don't know if it's because I never really dealt with Wii U's stages, but I have a difficult time telling when things blow up in Wrecking Crew.
It's been 3000 years…One good thing about Hanenbow is that the background is a fully functioning green screen, so you can have fun with that.
Garden of Hope does feel bigger than it should be, but it does seem at times people forget that Smash Bros is also a 4 player game not just 1 on 1
Re: 75m, a stage based on the original arcade Donkey Kong is a good idea, but did they have to pick that one? 50m lends itself a lot better to Smash (and would've been as good an excuse as any to finally put Fear Factory in the series).
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Garden of Hope is fine, but my god does the AI not understand that the Peckish Aristocrab is unsafe to touch. Even at level 9 they get hit by it every time it crosses the screen.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I can agree with that sentiment.
Like, one of my friends prefers to play 1v1 while I prefer Free For Alls.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Reggie Fils-Aime for Smash.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. That's what the Mii's are for
The ponytail in the code is referring to Dixie Kong. Here's my iron clad proof.
-Witty line-
It's fine to have a stage the size of GCO if it's not so enclosed.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.
