Meanwhile, modern mirrors don’t reveal vampires, but they are immune to Allomancy.
I have a message from another time...
But yes, I’ve heard about the mirror backing thing.

That's also why vampires show up in digital photos but not on film. Film uses silver nitrates to develop an image, but there's nothing like that in a digital camera.
Ukrainian Red CrossI wonder what would happen if a vampire or a werewolf was exposed to roentgenium...
Seriously tho, knowing how metals work, gold itself would be far more harmful than silver.

> I wonder what would happen if a vampire or a werewolf was exposed to roentgenium...
Well radiation is harmful to living things so it shouldn't hurt vampires, werewolves are still alive so it could definitely hurt them
New theme music also a boxBut the Sun emits radiation, and said element reacts similarly to silver...
It's based on mysticism, not chemistry
Heart of StoneBut mysticism doesn't really have rules, so...
Mysticism is just chemistry we don't understand yet. Think we can kill a wereslug with silver nitrate?
Back on topic, I like all the new insta-death methods in this game. The scythe, final smashes, Mimikyu, the Ultimate Chimera and Bulborb... They're fun to make people explode with.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Man, i really like the bosses in this game. I hope they add more if possible.
Do you guys have a favourite?
Uni catmarx, because they somehow made him even more unsettling
also because he's the only one i can beat on 9.9
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaGotta go with Dracula. Ganon would be my favorite if he weren't complete arse to actually fight.
This song needs more love.I kinda like the Rathalos. The items that show up during the fight are a nice shout-out to its home series, and his attack pattern is pretty similar too. All that’s missing is being able to cut his tail off. :P
Marx is the best because he's even scarier than the boss he works under. I'll have to give the best theme to Dharkon though. The choir bass and the electric guitar really work well at making him seem deadly.
It's been 3000 years…Galeem or Marx.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Do you think Marx looks better in Smash or in Star Allies?
smash
not that he looks bad in star allies.
but they ramped up his creepy shit by a million for smash
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaHey, so, I have 876 songs in the sound test. There are 877 total according to the Smash Wiki, and the one I'm missing is... the 8-bit version of the Super Mario Bros. 3 ground theme. Anybody know how to unlock that? I haven't had any music available from the shop or as a Classic Mode reward for days, so I assume I've exhausted the random drop pool and need to do a specific unlock.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!did you do all the challenges

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaMarx is my favorite boss fight, but that's only because I love Super Star Ultra so much and I love Marx as a character. The fact that they turned Marx up to 11 only makes things so much better.
Dracula is a close second, tied with Giga Bowser. Ganon is cool conceptually but he's too hard to actually get around to hurt.
Rathalos is really neat, and I love Monster Hunter, but I think some parts of his fight are just not fun.
Darkhon is a neat fight. Galeem is fucking bullshit.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI still wish there was more boss fights, in fact, why don't we have boss fight mode like in Brawl? Unless it's in WOL?
I'm with ya on more boss fights. Having the Pokémon fighters battle Rayquaza from Subspace again would be awesome, and a nice way of giving Gen 3 some love in a major role.
I was surprised Porky didn't come back, either, especially with how uncomfortable two Earth Bound spirits were at the end of World of Light, although I honestly prefer it that way, I'd rather Porky's fight keep the drama and implications behind it in its original context rather than boil it down to "a boss you have to hit the limbs of" again by keeping Porky in Mother 3. That said I'd be perfectly fine if Porky was a boss fight representing Mother 3's predecessor Earth Bound instead.
Tabuu and Master Core were too central to their games so I imagine they'd stay as Spirits, Duon was created from Mr. Game & Watch of all things so he wouldn't make sense to bring back, and finally both Ridley fights are redundant now that Ridley is playable. So to me the only bosses from previous games that are conspicuous in their absence are Rayquaza and Porky.
As for new bosses, I'd nominate one for each third-party series that doesn't have one like Sonic, Bayonetta, and maybe even Street Fighter. I imagine Mega Man would be weird cuz Dr. Wily is already an assist, and the game seems to consider Galleom a decent enough stand-in for a Metal Gear, and I can't think of anything for Pac-Man. And as much as I'd love it, they probably wouldn't add the SMT version of YHVH as a boss just because Persona is a spin-off of SMT.
As for Nintendo bosses...something for Pikmin, maybe, like Emperor Bulblax (I'm only familiar with Pikmin 1). Mother Brain is an assist, both Ridley and Dark Samus are playable, and Kraid is a major background element for Brinstar Depths, so Metroid seems to be out. I'd love a Fire Emblem boss, but since they're mostly dragons, I assume Rathalos is a good enough stand-in for them, so Fire Emblem is out, too. K. Rool is playable and people don't care about Tiki Tong, and Lord Fredrik isn't popular even though the Snomads are, so DK doesn't get a boss either. It'd be cool if Xenoblade got a boss, but Metal Face is already a stage hazard, and I doubt they'd go for Egil, XC 1 spoiler, or any of the XCX or XC 2 bosses since atm only Shulk is playable.
...Huh. Pokémon and maybe Earth Bound aside, the boss selection is actually pretty good this time despite only Mario, Zelda, and Kirby getting a boss while two third-party bosses and Smash original bosses fill in the rest.
Rayquaza is already a stage hazard, so it might not work the best as a boss. I think a great Pokemon boss would be Ultra Necrozma, not least of which because it would come with its awesome battle theme:
I could totally see it being the boss of an area themed around the Ultra Beasts, Ultra Wormholes, and the worlds they're native to.
I'm surprised they didn't just copypaste Brawl's bosses into Ultimate. Not having Porky is weird.
.....unless Porky is one of the DLC!
I base this on my extensive research of nothing.
Actually, I could see a Mother DLC rep being received poorly. That whole slot argument and deserving buzzword again.
-Witty line-
To explain that a bit more, older mirrors were lined with silver, which was considered "pure" and that was the reason it was believed such mirrors did not interact with a vampire's reflection.
