So Greninja is Ash's Greninja, and Pokemon Trainer is Red. We finally got the Red vs Ash match we've so long dreamed for.

Gre is one of the coolest Pokemon that Game Freak ever thought up so I'm glad they're in. I was worried they'd be forgotten in this game but since everyone returned, then by extension they're back.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a landmark game in part because it's the first game since Brawl where Pokemon characters weren't cut.

Mewtwo and Pichu were cut for brawl.

And Pichu has been missed ever since.

I worded that unclearly but that's what I meant, how Brawl was the first to cut Pokemon, and we now have a Smash game where none of them are cut and in fact everyone came back.

I would love an Iwata Assist Trophy.

Would he hold up a bunch of bananas?

What about a Playable Iwata, with a Final Smash that KOs anyone that mentions "Shrek", "Waluigi" and "Goku"?

I still think Balloon Fighter would be a good retro choice and a great tribute to Iwata as well.

The Villager already has his entire moveset.

All jokes aside, I actually would like to see collectible trophies of significant Nintendo people. Past presidents, the creatives behind their flagship games, maybe even nods to pre-video game Nintendo.

What I want is trophies of every stage in addition to every fighter. All 103 of 'em.

And trophies of all five previous Smash Bros. games. Just, like, trophies of the N64 and 3DS cartridges, and the Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U discs.

So trophies of:

• Every character
• Every stage
• Every Smash Bros game
• Prominent Nintendo individuals (Hmm, I wonder how Gunpei Yokoi's family would feel about using his image)
• Every Nintendo console
• Screw it, let's also have trophies of every Sega console
• A hanafuda deck
• All of Nintendo's various plastic toys
• Oh, and every single trophy that has appeared in a Smash game to date.

I mean, I wouldn't want them to use anybody's likeness without getting the necessary permissions and approvals from any appropriate parties. Just thought it would be neat to get some IRL Nintendo history in the games too.

And I want to have the option to get all the trophies that doesn't rely purely on luck to get them.

Clearly, we aren't allow to get things we want in life.

Interesting video about technical stuff in some of Ultimate's stages compared to previous games.

GodDAMN, that was a nerdy video! WOW! Like, I'm impressed at myself for understanding all of that, though I did get a tiny headache! That definitely highlighted how the Smash Ultimate stages look so much better than the Wii U version, and a lot of it comes down to lighting. Geez, I feel like I just took a college class on video game lighting (something that he even joked about in the video), and I feel like I understand a lot more of video game lighting than I did 30 minutes ago.

Strong art direction (and lighting and shading) can beat raw graphical power and polygon counts any day.
