It's more that the AI is programmed to attack assists in Dissidia, and Hell's Gate happens to be one of the better moves Sephiroth has to easily hit a slowly floating assist like Aerith.

@Enlong no only the directional whip. Richter has the controllable whip in Symphony of the Night. Which is weird - he can spin his whip but can't whip in certain directions.

@BadWolf: Samus's Super outfit was a black leotard. Fusion was the blue top and shorts.

Saw someone mention Kass on a previous page. While I can't see him as a playable character, I would like for him to at least be in the game in some form, maybe appearing on the Sheikah Tower stage?

It might just be one slot for Mario Kart music, and the other slot for the rest.

I'm guessing there's one for mainline games, and one for sports and racing.

A split by core series songs and spinoff songs seems most likely to me. Alternatively, it might just be that Mario has such a ludicrous volume of songs to fill up all its stages that Mario needs two playlists regardless of how they're divided.

Speaking of nuts and music though. I did some calculations.

Assuming we've got everything from the previous installments, including the return of all the Metal Gear Solid songs from Brawl, on top of calculating which series were revealed to have new songs already via the glimpse at the My Music section in the Direct...

There's still roughly 212 unknown songs to be included in the soundtrack. You could probably shave off about 10 of those via the remixes we've heard on the site, and it'd still be just over 200.

So, about Vaati...

He would have worked neatly as a second Zelda villain, and sharing an art style with Toon Link would have been icing in the cake... in Brawl, 10 years ago.

Nowadays, well, he is a distant memory if anything. Skull Kid or Impa would make better choices in my opinion.

Pretty much. I used to be all for Vaati as a Zelda rep, but now...there are a lot of better choices. Definitely leaning towards Skull Kid myself (even though he ironically predates Vaati) and I'd be cool with Impa too.

Ridley and K. Rool were my two biggest choices for pretty much ever, so I'm already completely content with Smash Ultimate. Anything else at this point is just a bonus, though I am hoping for an awesome Adventure Mode of some kind just to top the icing on this very delicious cake.

I remember how a bunch of people were convinced that Vaati was in Brawl because Kirby's Zelda hat resembled his hat (it didn't).

Man I'm so glad that Smash fans have stopped looking into completely innocuous things trying to find ridiculous hidden meanings.
