How do you confuse Shikieiki and Suika? Shikieiki and Suika are both short? Both absurdly powerful (but for different reasons)? Both are grouped in-universe with taller, more "developed" characters (who are depicted as weaker)?

Suika's not really grouped with anyone. She's more of a free agent. She did that Deva schtick for a while but got bored of it and started hanging out at the shrine. And now she lives in heaven and bums food off of celestials. I could see her moving on from that too.

Another interesting aspect is her grudge against Aya and the tengu. You would've thought that she would get over it. But then again, its pretty much the same with Kaguya and Mokou to.

I'd say she's more of a wanderer than some kind of mooching hoboni. She goes wherever she likes, and she's not interested in staying anywhere for long.

Shiki's Perfect Memento art has her as kinda short looking to me (though not midget sized or anything), and the Grimoire of Marisa art of her as just tiny! Consistency!

On Topic: Suika is a pretty cool guy, eh, size changes and doesn't afraid of anything.

Depends on if she has a reason to change sizes. Just because Kaguya can resurrect herself doesn't mean we'd expect to see her in various states of dying and regeneration at various times. People tend to have this thing called a "default" appearance.

Well there are several doujins where Suika runs out of sake/loses her sake gourd and then goes crazy trying to get sake. Perhaps Oni's have developed a need for booze...and wait why am I using scientific fact to discuss Touhou?

I consider it a physiological thing. Not like, an oni will go berserk if they get sober or anything... more like they die of thirst, since they need it the way other folks need water. So, like they literally need it.

At least, that's how I interpret it.

Anyway, Tsurupettan was one of the things that got me into Touhou. My friends showed me the video at an anime convention and I instantly got hooked...and then listened to it for like a week straight.

No, it's a little joke that inspiried the whole thing. It's supposed to be like a drunk mispronouncing someone's name, someone correcting them, and then the drunk saying that it wasn't a mispronounciation because they know someone with that name.

...That was great. I know I admitted to not being that big of a Suika fan, but that entertained me. The ending was gold.

Maybe this is just my pesky fanon stupidity talking, but I assume that the Celestials would be either too high and mighty or too busy to stand a oni doing oni things all over the place. Then again, Akyuu does say that Celestials basically do nothing but goof off and come down to Earth to mess with people. Maybe Suika would fit in (although she might be too rowdy for them anyway)
