Uh, I have no clue if that makes sense at all, so I just assume it makes sense

I concur that this is the most absurd althist thing I've seen in HOIIV yet. Like, this somehow dunks upon both second civil wars, lords over restoring the Kaiserreich, and manages to topple the fucking Holy Roman Empire reformation.

And yet, that is what makes it so great. :D

I wonder if it would be posible to do a playthrough where you make an alliance of monarchies, and try to encourage monarchies....

Part of the appeal of Paradox games are the gloriously stupid things you can do. I mean, if you manage to puppet the USA as Britain, you bloody well earned a little extra besides a change in flags.

I don't see how this is more stupid than recreating the CSA or putting Trotsky in charge of Mexico.

I fail to see how Britain putting the king's wife in charge over a puppeted US is more stupid than Britain puppeting US in the first place.

I can see the British turning a colony into a puppet kingdom, sure. It's called the Commonwealth.

I'll have to agree with others, what's crazy is the US being puppeted by the UK. The rest is just gravy.

I'm sure you'd say a US civil war was outlandish too if it hadn't happened before. ;)

Also remember that this is a thing in HOI4◊.

Heh, though honestly, not really.

Civil wars just happen when internal factions grow powerful and hostile enough to each other that they decide to fight. The UK (or any nation in the timeframe of WW 2 really) growing strong enough to defeat the US and make it a vassal state is as close to impossible as anything is.

Still, I don't mind absurd possibilities if they make for fun gameplay

There was also that one time the Aztecs invaded Europe. That was fun. By the time they showed up, the timeline had probably been screwed up so much, it was probably the least interesting thing you'd be recounting to your friends.

Victoria Louise is not a Kaiserreich meme. She was never in the mod, never will be and a bunch of creeps drooling over a photo of her as a minor doesn't make her in any shape or form relevant to the mod.

I'm not saying she wasn't a real person, but I'm pretty sure the Kaiserreich subreddit was obsessed with her for a brief period. And also pretty sure that the devs added her as a reference to that.

That doesn't make her a Kaiserreich meme - fun fact: The modders actually avoid the subreddit for the most part because of how much it consists of shitposting and unironic NatPops/Totalists.

They're much more involved with the community on their Discord.

Ok, I think I see the confusion. When I say "Kaiserreich meme" I was talking about the Reddit community. Not the modders.

The Kaisrereich Reddit is full of morons who every other day seem to obsess over random women.

That and unfunny memes.

R/TNO Mod is where it's at.

Basically: If you want to have actual discussions about the mod and shit, go to their Discord.

If you want to shitpost and be creepy about historical women (and hats), go to the subreddit.

To sum up how creepy some people are, when Paradox added Victoria Louise, these people whined about her being "ugly" - because Paradox based their portrait on how Victoria Louise ACTUALLY looked at the time (she was forty-ish), while the creeps on the subreddit kept obessing over an image of her as a minor.

Kaiserreich is a great mod, but part of its fanbase is toxic as heck.

Yeah, most of the subreddit is people making lighthearted memes about Huey Long and Mac Arthur and things like that

But there are guys that are less savory.

You also get regular bouts of drama for no reason - waifu craze, whenever the modders improve the lore, the current hat nonsense....
