Into Darkness is flawed in many bad and serious ways, the racist casting being top, Battlefield Earth at least was funny to make fun of.
The fact that Into Darkness ruined one of the best Star Trek books ever written really soured me on it too but I bet you he wont mention that or really find that in his research.

Which book, if i may ask?
The book Dreadnaught [1]. Its about the federation's first Dreadnaught the USS Star Empire, built by a guy named Admiral Rittenhouse, and a conspiracy of starfleet officers to take over control of the federation to combat the threat of the Klingons.
Events of the book itself are quite different but the main character of the book, Piper, is folded into Carol Marcus. In the beta canon continuity the events of the book were what made Kirk accept the Admiralty spot leading up to The Motion Picture.

I feel I'm the only one who says Real Robot only applies to old shows. Since modern "real robots" also feature super powers or super powered pilots.
Pilots super powered in one way or another (genetic engineering, psychic powers, etc) have been integrated in Real Robot shows right from the beginning.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Even the genre creator, the original Mobile Suit Gundam, involves the protagonist developing psychic powers.
Yeah, real robot was always more ‘defined robot, super powered pilot’ to varying degrees. Very few series are grunt suits and normal pilots on both sides, most of those are more contained in short OVA series of some type like 0080 and the first half of 0083.

In 0083 all the Feddy characters have stupidity as a superpower.
But maybe I'm just prejudiced against a show that has the hero actively pursue petty vengeance over stopping an act of mass murder (and then doesn't call him out on that).
(Seriously, 0083 has a claim on being the dumbest work from the original continuity).

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"A bit late I know, but not sure what Chuck's point about safe spaces vs. Veterans was when a lot of military veterans use safe spaces because of the very high risk of PTSD. Anyway, good reviews besides that. Wondering about offering him a few $ to get a review of Dot Hack Sign because I'm really like his take on this war anime. Think he might enjoy the MMO based show, (aside from the fanservice opening).
Well the first half made perfect sense and was insanely low on the Real To Super Robot Slider... then the director and writer left after episode 7... the OVA series is delayed 8 months and everyone is carrying around the Idiot Ball and the main characters have literally the most over powered super robots in Gundam.

Oh I get Newtypes being superpower, but at most it feels like some super sense psychic feeling - a bit more on a grounded level. Now we get shit like mind control, time control, and super-super senses. On top of a super special mecha.

Newtypes? Grounded? I guess you haven't seen Zeta or ZZ Gundam then.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Zeta I have, the soul power is weird yeah, but I'm mostly focused on Amuro.
But yeah, I have seen Judau going Jotaro Kujo.
After three false starts, Chuck finally reviews Return of the Jedi.

ib4 others say it. I hate the new CGI. I liked the original films despite the changes in 50-40 years of SFX Hollywood has done. The problem is that the more Lucas tried to "improve" his films, the more we saw that the CGI just wasn't up to the task.

All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48http://sfdebris.com/videos/startrek/d460.php
After two months of re-uploads and other projects, we're finally back to new Star Trek reviews.
And no post-episode followup, from the looks of things. Can't say I really blame him for that.
Can’t say it’s bad or merely watchable, but recommending it would be weird given how miserable it is.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. The viewer with an opinion takes a look at the prince with a thousand enemies.
I love Wateship Down, both as a book and a film. It really succeeds at showing you the mindset of rabbits. It reminds me of one other book that I read as a kid called Silverwing. The author was very clearly inspired by Watership Down, because Silverwing covers is also an adventure novel told from the perspective of realistic, non-anthropomorphised animals, but is about bats instead of rabbits. It's a great book and I recommend it.
Transformers: Golden Lagoon, Only Human & The Ultimate Weapon.
If you are tuning in hoping for a Metal Gear joke, because Cobra Commander, the special guest in "Only Human," goes by the name Old Snake, well you're going to be disappointed.
What Babylon 5 episode had the Centauri tentacle penis again?
Quality of Mercy is the episode where Londo cheats with his dick in poker.
Children of Dievas - my webcomic about the Northern Crusades
Into Darkness is flawed. But it's nothing compared to stuff like Battlefield Earth. It's a matter of not getting to either yet, I'm sure.
