Oooh. Neat.
So this just happened. Skullgirls PC got the 2nd Encores Features DLC, which includes all DLC Characters, Palettes, Voiced Story mode and other features.

"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyLab Zero and Autumn Games have partnered up with Hidden Variable Games to bring SG to the portable phone contraptions.
Based on Skullgirls' gameplay, you can engage in RPG esque battles similar to the fighting game with full combos and supermoves, rather than MKX and Injustice's mobile counterparts.

"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyCan anyone find themselves here?
With a '0', not an 'O'I tried Skullgirls on Vita. Holy shit the loading times can be bad but I honestly can't see any problem with it otherwise, its not too bad. Plus all the 2nd Encore stuff!

Got some Mobile beta stuff for us to chew on from Skullheart itself. Enjoy Pre-diced Fortune and The Medici goons when they were alive
Man Nadia without her scars looks awkward. Also anyone tried 2nd Encore on Vita? It looks great but the loading times can be a drag. Thats the only drawback tho as far as I can see.
Pretty cool they got a panel for this news.

Mileena MadnessSure is, I was there to watch it.
With a '0', not an 'O'Note how those pants Fortune has on are the same ones that she has currently. The reason she's dressed so skimpily is because she was literally cut to pieces in that outfit
The beta is fun.
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguySome new intros were introduced in the latest patch! As well as a bunch of really cool balance changes for Beowulf, like incorporating Beowulf's Hype meter into more of his arsenal.

I wonder when SG Mobile is going to be officially released...
Awesome.
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyHuh...kinda dusty in here...
Well the Mobile game is out and about, and I've played through all available story modes up to this point, so let me drop down a few bits of lore while I'm here.
- The Canopy Kingdom did some fucked up stuff before Parasoul came into the scene. Panzerfaust himself was forced into watching many forced propaganda videos while he was in surgery to make him the super patriotic man he is today.
- Cerebella's home was completely wiped out by the Canopy Kingdom's Army, presumably before she got Vice versa. Adam called the place No Man's Land, and Cere bitterly remarks it must be weird to see someone who actually made it out alive
- The reason Loerenzo is so frantic about losing the Life Gem is also revealed. As long as he has it, not only is he eternally in his prime, but it grants him immunity to the Skullgirl's Powers. Marie actually charged in and tried to take Lorenzo down immediately, but when nothing happened, He scoffed at her powerlessness. Also Black Widow shows up and almost kills Marie, but she escapes, now bidding her time under the catacombs of the church.
I'd play the mobile version but it's not supported on my phone despite the fact the closed beta worked fine. The OST is amazing.

"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyI think my favorite part of the lore stuff was seeing ow smug Lorenzo was when facing the Sjullgirl, and seeing why he was so scared in the real game. If Marie knew that his SG immunity was gone, Marie would have swarmed the tower full throttle and destroyed him and everything he worked for.I didnt even think The Life Gem would be such an important McGuffin...
-looks over page-
...This is the first time I've heard about a mobile version of SG. And I'm not sure how to feel about that.
Or maybe I just forgot about it.
Either way, I can't seem to find it on my phone or tablet, so either it's not available for Android right now or my devices can't support it.
Which... is just as well I suppose. I still haven't played through any of the story mode in SG despite owning several versions of the game, including the Vita version. And it feels like the mobile game is geared more towards expanding the lore than anything else, so it'd probably just hamper my enjoyment if I went into it straight away anyway.
Is the gameplay at least fun?
Yeah its fun and simple. You unlock more fighters and special attacks, but each one can be raised up to your playstyle if you so wish.
Also it is available on the android play store it release like last month or so.
Yeah, I decided to look it up through my computer instead of through mobile and found out that I don't have anything that can support it right now. I guess I'll have to wait until I can upgrade my phone first. It's a shame; it looks really fun from what I've seen of it.
Europe gets 2nd Encore Vita on April 11th.
