Bardock had visions of Piccolo saying every universe is in danger and Goku shaking hands with a Cell Jr so I'd like to think we can rule out a Time Travel Ex Machina (which we don't seem to have a trope for).

Time travel doesn't work as a deus ex machina in Dragonball since it just creates alternate universes, so the main timeline is screwed

That is, unless she isn't bound by that rule.

Also note that the God's time travel does seem to alter the timeline (i.e., Beerus erasing past Zamasu would have erased Black if not for the Time ring).

Being that she's a literal Mary Sue, her flavour of Time Travel may be closer to that version.

That was Super anime only, and made literally no sense, DBM uses the manga's rules for time travel.

The fact that time travel doesn't work that way is likely part of her Mary Sue-ness since it is breaking the rules of the setting.

Oh right. There wasn't any of that in the Super Manga was there?

Though I do like the idea that it's only Mortal done Time Travel that causes such problems, and the Gods just aren't bound by the same rules.

Eh, whatever. We know she's gonna probably save Tien at the least.

The Godly version would actually create more problems, even if it were possible. Because of butterfly effects and paradoxes.

I mean, as far as specials go, Bardock tends to be the one of the more interest DBM characters.

Better than showing us what happened when Cell one. That one was completely pointless because we already know what would've happened.

As for Cell, I always thought if he won he'd spare Vegeta for last so he can verbally torture him with how his current state is his own damn fault before getting bored and killing him. Then he'd shoot the sun so everyone on Earth can watch in dread it exploding and that they're all screwed

I dunno, I can see someone like Cell wanting to kill everyone personally (by blowing up a city or something). Blowing up the sun, while possible and efficient, would be boring. I mean the whole reason he started the Cell games was to add some fun to killing everyone and sowing terror, right?

That's actually interesting.

Doesn't that mean Fake Mom things Bardock is weak/unfit to rule? Which is weird when the Saiyans have broken from under the yolk of Freeza under his reign and they're more powerful than they've ever been. Like, no one should not want Bardock to be king.

It's just Hanasia being an annoying character.

Hanasia just has that combat itch she needs to scratch.

Seems like Bardock realized that she probably won't be the last person to decide to challenge him for the throne and found a solution.
