No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...
I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?
Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here.

That is a Gameboy Advance SP.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire...so that just happens to be under it, right?
I imagine so.
Anyway yeah, Death of Hope Part 1 is kind of horrifying but also...sort of confusing? From what I could tell the protagonists were a group of surviving Ultramarines and one...Aspirant, I guess?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Comments were telling me the "Ultramarines" seen were probably just TRAITORS AND HERETICS that stole the armour they're wearing.
As are any so-called Astartes that consort with the Ruinous Powers. Betrayal to our Emperor by one of his loyal sons is inconcievable. The mere notion is heresy in and of itself.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireAs someone has already added them to the Character pages: New Ragnar & Ghazghkull
Primaris Ragnar◊ looks to the the most dynamic Primaris yet.
Ghazghkull◊ is very over the top (as is appropriate for an ork) and looks a bit like a cyborg Ironjawz Megaboss.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI really dig he look of his klaw, it really looks like it'd carve chunks out of a Baneblade.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Ragnar looks good, Ghazzy looks amazing.
So, yarrick, helbrech, vulkan, dante and now ragnar.
is there any imperial hero ghazz havent battle a this point?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Ciaphas Cain.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.??? When did Yarrick, Helbrecht or Dante fight him personally? Vulkan disappeared long before Ghazghkull came to power as well as far as I am aware.

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellIn amarggedon, and I was taking about vulkan he stan, not current vulkan.
but given that thraka is close to be the beast.....
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Ah I had forgotten the 5th edition retcon that Yarrick had fought him at Hades, but I still can't remember any reference to Helbrecht or Dante fighting him, or He'stan being in the same warzone (he didn't fight on Armageddon as far as I am aware).

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellAnd they'd never do that, because surely there's no way they could think of a method for Cain to luckily somehow defeat him without pissing off all of the Ghazghkull fans.
I mean, here he got his actual head cut off so it's not like he's any stranger to indignity.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Meh, he just atached again.
It was a flesh wound
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Mad Dok Grotsnik, Belisarius Cawl, Fabius Bile, Urien Rakarth...imagine what they'd make if they were all forced to work together for some reason.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm pretty sure being forced to work with Grotsnik is the only way anyone at all would ever work with Grotsnik.
Especially if it means having to fall asleep in the same room as him.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of them have modified themselves so that they don't need sleep anyway. Heck, Cawl's more machine than man anyway. And Fabius Bile's an Astartes, whom already don't need much sleep.

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI'm not an expert on the lore or anything, so I'm curious — have there been any stories involving Bile that place less emphasis on his Mad Scientist shtick and remind readers that he's an Astartes and thus is fully capable of throwing down like any other Astartes?
Disgusted, but not surprisedI am nowhere near up to date with the novels and haven't read any of his own series, but I do seem to remember he was portrait as more a a mad scientist than a fighter in he Horus Heresy novel Fulgrim. Mad science is his thing after all.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI just think he should also be occasionally portrayed as a Genius Bruiser. It can be kind of jarring to realize that under that skin coat of his, Fabius Bile is just as physically imposing as any other Astartes.
Disgusted, but not surprised
I ain't good with tech, is that a little powerbox (the one visually sticking out by being grey) that's connected to the faux-receiver?
