Am I correct in thinking we're about to get a call back to the Land of Nose Beep?
Agreed - and that was a reasonably-deserved OH SNAP graphic.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"This plotline is actually back?! What?! *Insert another jibe about Lord Tedd here*
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️On one hand, glad to see he's not abandoning that plotline.
On the other, I'll believe it when I see it.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It's been THIRTEEN YEARS I'LL SAY SHE'S OVERDUE FOR A VISIT
Read my stories!Charlotte being a trainer of "Spooky Graces" and thus having a mix of Psychic and Ghost types according to the commentary is perfectly in keeping with the thematic Trainers often found in the games. Some Trainers will have obvious Type-based themes. Like, Bug Catchers have Bugs. Obviously.
But that's not always the case. There are other themes that are more generic. For instance, the Lass archetype typically has small, cute Pokemon. That's a pretty wide umbrella into which Pokemon of many different Types can fall.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Than there are the Cooltrainers who are probably closest NP Cs to having a "competitive" team.
I think Justin is overreacting. With the two of them sitting with their backs to each other, it actually looks pretty chaste. And then you notice Grace blowing hot air at clothes... In fact, it pretty much looks like what it actually is.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."That last panel...
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.I guess Diane decided to take quite a bit of hair. I mistook her for Sarah at first.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who thinks Diane now looks like Sarah. (Have those two ever met?)
The fact that Diane has the same expression as Susan really throws the Only Six Faces issue Shive has into stark relief.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Does it? Their resemblance is a detail noted in story, so it's not a big deal for the two of them, specifically, to look alike.
The fact that it took several people a moment to realize it wasn't Sarah but Diane says to me that yes, it does.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Aw, when she was getting a haircut, I was hoping she was going to turn up with something really short, not a bob. I don’t think there are any female characters in this who have actually short hair, since Nanase started growing her’s out again. Besides, Diane could pull off a butch look.
So yes, haircuts, very nice, but I was more intrigued that Verres was at an airport. As if he were picking someone up. Someone who perhaps just arrived from another country. Someone who could have just learned that the child they thought was a powerless mutant has turned out to be a powerful rare wizard. I dunno.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.I think it's way more likely that Verres' bosses in the government called him onto the carpet for some reason or another.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Sorry, she's such a little scamp.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. For what it worth, I'm amused at how much mileage the NP strips are getting out of the concept of "Pokemon, but the trainers are teenagers with who are attracted to other teenage trainers."
The penultimate page of Sister 3.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. It's nice when a villain's plan works out, sometimes.
This plan is actually a interesting one.
HiI do appreciate that not only does Voltaire acknowledge that there's no way for him to control the variables and that he just has to do what he can and hope for the best, but that it also blows up in his face at certain points.
For a Xanatos Roulette, Shive does a good job of showing how much cruel and uncaring the random whims of consequence can be to your meticulously crafted plan. Voltaire got here by Taking Twenty. That much as explicit in the text.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Taking Twenty? I am unfamiliar with that term.
