Re: Maxim's hat: Well, yes, there is a break just above Maxim's head where it could have been that was accidentally colored over by the colorist (after maybe the inker forgot to outline it), but I note that there's a similar gap just to Maxim's right, roughly over his arm/Dimo's back. I guess Dimo's back is so important that it gets its own hat, but I'm more inclined to think that both spots are not a coloring error.
As for the one he got from Old Man Death, keep in mind that we know that Jagers can and will switch hats if they understand it's positively necessary. Even if it's an awful hat. I think we can handwave that Maxim felt it necessary to change hats for whatever reason.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. He isn't wearing any hat at all in Paris, possibly because none would fit under the big fake Jaeger head he wore at the masquerade. Not a big deal, but still a shame Old Man Death's hat got ditched or lost off-camera after all the trouble of getting it.
http://www.mansionofe.comI thought the big fake Jaeger head counted as his hat.
Friday's comic is really fun, IMO [1]
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Bet that's Dimo lifting from above.
Not enough worry, Mr Wart.
The Heterodynes' enemies tend to wind up dead, wishing they were dead, on a Heterodyne's operating table, or eventually on their side.
Granted, being on the Heterodynes' side isn't much better since it means you're constantly exposed to the hazards of being near a Spark turned Up To Eleven.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThose last three panels are Too Dumb to Live levels of Genre Blind if I've ever seen it.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.@Greybeard Fan: The hands on Zeetha's ankles are caucasian human colored. I think that's Ognian.
So... have Seffies eyes changed color? Earlier in the comic they were blue, but now they look brown. I could write this off as being part of the disguise, but the scenes before Agatha and co. went off to England showed her with brown eyes, too...
Considering all the other Sparky stuff in this universe, I can fully believe that eye color changes are cosmetic and as easy as selecting what color eye shadow or lipstick to apply.
Heck, in real life, it's possible for blue eyes to turn brown under certain circumstances (most commonly, it's a known side effect of several medicines). It's one of the more mundane oddities in the comic.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster."Nobody likes a worry wart" except possibly for lunch . . .

If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Worry Wart indeed. The guy's face even looks like a wart.
Sheesh. You're getting together to summon a being of unspeakable horror from unknown dimensions, you know someone's hunting you to stop the ceremony, your companion suddenly disappears...
And you don't immediately raise the alarm!?!?
Someone didn't read the Evil Overlord's list on training their flunkies.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett@Candi: Doesn't the Evil Overlord's list also say NOT to dress your minions in hooded robes that conceal the wearer's identity? Like the ones Zeetha is so cheerfully collecting here, mooks and all. I fully expect Agatha's party to infiltrate the ceremony as soon as Zeetha has scooped up enough mooks to dress everybody.
How they managed to survive so long in this work environment is a mystery.
Well, that's a given!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!I think tailored uniforms were the proper wear suggested. Also having guards out that could tell the sound of a thrown pebble from an intruder.
I wonder if we'll see a violation of "not consuming a source of energy bigger then my head".
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI remember that also coming up in Penn & Teller: Fool Us in an early episode where a magician had masked robed helpers and Penn commented dryly at the end that the moment they saw the masks and robes, they knew the magician would take one of their places.
Link.
I think Tarvek or Vi taught her that.
And yes, tailored uniforms would definitely have been the better choice.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAgreed. That's definitely a 'Spark as weasel' approach.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Is there a trope for hoodies?
I'm not entirely sure that she did need any training on that.
I mean, she's a Spark herself, surely she's familiar with how easy it is to distract them into something destructive to their own goals, even if we've not seen her get much distracted in that way herself.
All your safe space are belong to Trump
Either one of the many, many Jaegers who queued up to fight him for it managed to win, or he decided to stash it away in a safe place in order to prevent that from happening.
