Bang is a lot more smart than she looks and knows more than she lets on. I guess that as usual it is on the case of "not caring" and that she can be up to the good thinkers were she left to put to think. A particular piece of evidence is that the interlude of sleeping cake has shown us is that Bang knows a lot but can be a terrible Poker player.

Zeetha must have been fond of the people on that expedition with her, to take such retribution on their killers.

they must have been kind to her. Also, from the original backstory, it felt as though her fever might have warped a bit of her Perceptions.

Or maybe she was just pissed at the pirates because they weren't considerate enough to attack only when she was in fighting condition.

That was unsportsmanlike. You can't blame Zeetha for not playing fair. It was what—her alone against an entire fleet of pirates? Sure, she had the advantage of surprise, but still. Fair is fair.

". . . a lot better" for a given a value of 'better'. What is the next level above 'enraged'?

"I'm not just pissed—I'm 'Zeetha Pissed.'"

I'm a bit disappointed. I expected more mayhem. And 'guys'? Really?

Why would we have mayhem yet? that pirate in front serving drinks is gonna do some reporting back and then Bang is getting herself involved. We gotta have liiiiitttle set up.

Could just be using "guys" as a generic reference and not because they were all male, a la the use of "he" in English when the gender of the person being referred to is unknown.

Alternately, the ladies are sticking together on Bang's airship, away from the base at the time of Zeetha's rampage, along the lines of what Wilhelm mentioned waaaaaaay back when, about the women imprisoned by Klaus bunking together in Der Kestle.

So where'd the straps for her swords go in panel three? Did Zeetha get confused about what order she did things in?

She took off her swords so her boobs could wave wildly in the wind, while she machine gunned a buncha dirty pirates.

That does make a lot of sense.

Zeetha is nothing if not sensible

If anything Bang was growing as a legend but hadn't reached the "level" of notoriety before the incident. And if anything Bang has learned to keep some "ear to the ground" after sticking near to Klaus so much.

Considering the privateers accounting and stuff it has to be noted that the English privateers did make a lot of it in a decent way in said field; but some of the counterparts (Corsairs) didn't reach some of the levels. Then again going a bit onto how much I recall of that era and all that.

That steward in the last panel.... I know we've seen him before (I'm certain he's a pirate), but I don't recall where.

Now that you mention it, he looks an awful lot like the bald guy examining Zeetha's hair in the flashback..

Hmm... Possibly, although not quite a precise match. But no, I think I remember him from earlier, but I can't find when.

Big chap? Mechanical nose?

Okay, I even enlarged the image and I can't for the life of me figure out what's going on in the last panel but I'm sure it has something to do with old Tobber. Are we to suspect that Professor Homlomium's first name is Tobias?

And that he's basically the black sheep of the English sparky set?

Looks like a plumber found Tobber's mechanical nose in a bathtub.

In all seriousness, I wonder if this means that Agatha is going to trip across yet another area-destabilizing plot. The only thing that keeps me from saying that Agatha is a full-on Doom Magnet is that some of the ridiculous plots she gets caught up in are ones where people are intentionally gunning for her from the get-go (e.g. the Castle Heterodyne plotline).

I think Heroes *and* Heterodynes are widely recognized as being Doom Magnets in this world, so someone who's a combination of both ... which is why Simon Voltaire didn't want her around, and probably why Albia will end up not wanting her around any more.
