Checking a few other pictures of Parley and Smitty from before now, she seems to be fairly consistently depicted as about half a head taller. Buff Parley seems to be a full head taller, and I don't think it's just the high-heeled boots.
Ah, Earlier Buff Parley is about 2/3 of a head taller and seems to be wearing less-tall boots on the page before that. Although it fluctuates a bit in the following pages ...
I don't think it's just normal aging. I think the dragonslayer training is playing a role. She got too buff and too big too fast for me to think it's entirely natural.
It's very clearly magical-based powerboosting, given that the feats it allows are inhuman in nature too.

I'd like to take a moment to mention how I really like the contrasting designs between the two Annies. I don't think the split is something as obvious as Forest Annie and Court Annie but damn if they don't look it.
I like most of the peanut gallery noting the exact "horrified deer in the headlights" response from both Annies they have come to know when the dreaded physical contact comes into play.
I'm imagining Parley coming back to find two smoldering corpses...

Well, he's a thrill-seeking trickster, what do you expect? Forbidden fruit and all that.
Though to be fair, he probably didn't know Surma was in a relationship (with whoever it was at the time) when he's fallen for her.
I also don't think that it's for serious with Parley. He's probably doing it for giggles.
