It makes sense. He spent his life running an organization from the shadows, doing operations from said shadows, and so Danzo's most selfless act will be forever unknown because it was done where no one but his enemies could see.

Poking at a comment from a couple of pages ago, but Kishimoto's word is that Hinata was planned to be Naruto's eventual love interest from way back in the pre-timeskip era, so it wouldn't be accurate to say that one can see the point where Sakura stopped being the intended romantic partner.

That said, Kishimoto admitted that he did intentionally seed in red herring moments suggesting otherwise.

Yeah, I just found out that Kishimoto told the Team 7 V As that Sakura would end up with Sasuke when the anime first started airing so yeah, I guess he was just trolling.

That's a theory but there's no evidence he used Shisui's eye to make the Feudal Lord select him as Hokage.

Yeah, Danzo almost assuredly used the eye for that. It makes no sense with his character not to.

He used the eye to convince Mifune at the Gokage summit, despite the fact that Mifune was going to pick him anyway. So it seems to me that Danzo would absolutely use Kotoamatsukami on the Daimyo, regardless of his actual odds.

Also the speech Danzo gives is really, really bad.

The entire room is in unanimous agreement to make Kakashi the Hokage and then Danzo is like 'hey pay attention to me real quick' and suddenly OH YOU'RE RIGHT YOU SHOULD BE HOKAGE DANZO

When the chapter came out I distinctly remember everyone being like "what the hell why did everyone switch to Danzo so easily" and then the eye reveal happened and it aaaaaaall made sense

How dare you. He pointed out the truth, the Third trained Jiraiya and Orochimaru and they have both fucked up everything. Kakashi is part of a lineage of fucking up.

He did leave out Minato but ya know. This thread probably would think Minato fucked up royally too. Maybe he did, I don't recall the details of the Nine attack and how stupid it was.

Okay he probably did use the MS but fuck, I liked the speech. :(

One would have to stretch to blame Jiraiya for things. It's also real fucking rich for danzo to scream about Hiruzen screwing things up when Danzo was the one collaborating with Orochimaru even after he fled the village.

Yeah, Danzo's speech was just "the teachings of the Third have screwed us over! As long as I don't admit that I've kinda been sabotaging them from the sidelines, it all makes sense, so there!"

I always though that Danzo was just jealous of the third hokage for getting a job he wanted. He wanted it so bad that he was prepared to sabotage even his own side to get it.

The short of it was Minato committed suicide to seal the Nine Tails into Naruto rather than let Kushina kill it temporarily while he then teleport shanked Obito as his teleport seals were permanent.

So wait Kushina had the Full Nine Tails, right? They had the dumb retcon Naruto only had half the Kyuubi's power?

That was the thing, Naruto got the evil half of Kurama. Only he seemed pretty evil with Kushina too from what I can recall. Maybe that was anime filler.

Man, Naruto's story just collapsed after a point.

I dunno, I guess resealing Kurama instead of letting him reform and destroy everything maybe wasn't so bad?

Basically Minato felt that they could not risk Kurama dying and reforming somewhere random. It was enough trouble to seal it in the first place.

The issue isn't that, but rather that Minato is the only line of defense against the Masked Man. Nobody else could detect his presence and nobody else could best him. Minatos seal basically ensured that the Masked Man would never be able touch Konoha as long as Minato was alive. And so he commits suicide.

And so it's weird because the opening chapter suggested that Kurama was sealed because there was no way to defeat it, but it turned out there totally was. And considering that resealing a biju can actually prevent the host from dying (because of the extraction) the 4th war actually implies that had Kushina enacted her plan, she might even have stayed alive. After all, Kuramas power can heal massive injuries and resealing reverse death from extraction

There is no evil half to Kurama. Baby Naruto was just not sturdy enough to take the whole thing so Minato split Kurama into Yin Kurama and Yang Kurama. It's the same entity though but it doesn't affect their personalities.

Naruto got Yang Kurama. This is why when Naruto turns on his Chakra Mode, trees starts growing around him. Yang is also a thing that gives life and heals hence Naruto being able to heal Gai.

Kurama would have to actively want to heal Kushina. If he's spiteful enough, he might choose death with Kushina as a fuck you to Minato and Kushina. So that's basically the only explanation that you can use to justify it.

People make the joke that Minato would rather die than raise Naruto and wishes Sasuke was his actual son for a reason.

Remember that Naruto AU where Minato survived and Minato gently restrains Sasuke and flashes Naruto off a cliff with his Rasengan
