YMMV / Weyes Blood

  • Friendly Fandoms: Weyes fans and Lanitas often intersect, enjoying the sumptuous indie sounds of both artists. Weyes doing a cover of "For Free" with Lana as well as being a fan of her music certainly help.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Her earlier albums such as Strange Chalices of Seeing and The Outside Room particularly fit this trope.
    • The interludes on both Titanic Rising and And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow also count, especially "In Holy Flux" on the latter being an unnerving, distorted drone reprise of the opener "It's Not Just Me, It's Everybody".
  • Tear Jerker: Titanic Rising has some very sad themes. For instance, "A Lot's Gonna Change" about being disappointed by growing up and realizing that life will never be like it was when you were a kid. Special mention goes to the very emotional track "Movies", especially with its breathtaking finale. And let's not forget "Picture Me Better" which is about a friend of hers who committed suicide while she was making the album.
