It is revealed that in the new universe, she used to be a suicidal wreck that possibly would have ended up dying if not for Mami and Kyouko. Then, magical girls start turning into witches again, she learns that Madoka has been usurped from her role, the Madoka that has been talking to her has actually been the Law of Cycles trying to manipulate her, and that nearly the entire conflict that happened in her universe was because of Homucifer and the Law of Cycles were trying to get to her without letting the other party use her. Continuing onwards, after Homura had defeated Walpurgisnacht and everything seemed like it would be alright until Ruki, the magical girl that Homura took as her protégé and bonded with, becomes Homucifer's vessel and kidnaps her in order to prevent the Law of Cycles from having her.
