Applicability: Many see this movie’s use of cannon-armed motorcycles used against Tanks to be prescience of current modern warfare, where Syria Civil War and North Eastern Ukraine offensive saw light vehicles (many often being civilian-grade pickup trucks with cannons strapped on them) defeating heavily armored tanks in open ground.
Complete Monster: General Gerhard Donner is the ruthless Ishtarian officer put in charge of conquering the Aprodian capital, Io. Bombarding the city with bombs and tanks, Donner cares nothing for the civilians who are caught in the attack. Inserting himself as Io's de facto ruler, Donner begins an oppressive reign where citizens are interrogated and shot if they try to flee the police. Threatening to destroy Io if Aprodia stages a counterattack, Donner makes good on this promise the moment he is aggressed by the enemy army, ordering his men to "leave nothing but rubble".
