  • Broken Base: Given that Chet Wild is the host of a current pop culture podcast, some fans find his refusal to follow new things annoying. For the best of 2016 episodes, he only brought things that he watched and listened to in 2016 leading to bizarre picks like Gone Fishin. His #FastballAtChets campaign has especially earned a mixed reaction, between fans who love and openly participate in the campaign, and those who argue that it detracts from the Least Anticipated Podcast.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Brett Rader started as the silent engineer before he began filling in as an occasional guest and eventually something like the de facto co-host. Brett left the show after Adam's departure from Cracked, but Adam still refers to anyone sitting in the engineer's chair as "Brett." Brett later returned to the show after his departure from Cracked (among others) with large praise.
    • Similarly Jeff May was just a common guest on Unpopular Opinion before the network was launched and Adam cut ties with Cracked. Now he co-hosts two weekly shows including the main Unpops podcast.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In a late Cracked-era episode Jeff talks about his experience eating a Whopperito causing Adam to quip, "If this was Vice we'd be writing an article about it." Adam has since written for Vice.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Fastball at Chet's started as a joke on an episode of the Least Anticipated Podcast and quickly spiraled into a campaign on Chet's Twitter. Since the push to get Fastball to play in Chet's living room began, the concert has been endorsed by Ben Folds, Norm Macdonald, and Applebee's.
    • Kari's song, "Clothes In the Chest."
  • The Woobie: Naturally Chet, being one of the most neurotic hosts on the network. He was once dumped by a woman because she listened to the show.
