• Awesome Ego: Peridot's introduced in episode 6 bragging about her genius, and then quickly showing it off by building a home-made killer robot and rebuilding the Dimensional Portal by herself. Fans were mostly just glad to see her included in the series.
  Peridot: If there's one thing I love, it's talking about myself at length.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: While Greg hasn’t been shown onscreen, viewers have praised his voice to be an uncanny resemblance of his canon voice.
• Unexpected Character: Who would have expected a one-off gag character like Deuce, the Tent of Telepathy's old handyman, to not only make an appearance but play a prominent role in the story arc?
