  • It's incredibly satisfying to watch Rasmussen send Parker the images of Marie and to see him very quickly realize she was telling the truth the entire time and that he and Pruitt very sorely screwed up the case.
  • The look on Christopher McCarthy's face when he realizes he is never going to leave prison as the judge sentences him.
  • Marie ending the series, finally able to move on and start a new life and calling up Karen to thank her and Grace for everything and letting Karen know they made Marie believe in other people again, certainly qualifies as well. After everything she's been through, it's a truly satisfying conclusion for both.
• Complete Monster: Christopher McCarthy is a Serial Rapist who breaks into the homes of women, ties them up and violates them for hours, taking pictures as trophies for himself. This is what befalls Marie Adler at the beginning, with McCarthy operating across state lines to be, as he believes, untraceable over different jurisdictions. When caught, it is revealed McCarthy has many more victims than is first believed, with possibly dozens hidden in the trophies on his hard drive. Utterly remorseless, McCarthy refuses any semblance of guilt for the lives he damaged for his own gratification.
