YMMV / Una película de huevos

  • Awesome Animation: The movies have really good animation, but there are instances of Special Effects Failure.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation: The Warlock Egg in the sequel. Was he really evil? the only reason that he wanted to kill Toto and his friends (apart from interfering in his plans) was to make a magic spell, and even there, it wasn´t an evil spell. He is a very confusing character, to say the least.
  • Broken Base: Some fans complained that the first movie didn´t have the characteristic humor of the webshorts that inspired the movie, but it was fixed in the sequel with better jokes and puns.
    • The third film has been hit with this as well. Some aren't too fond of it being animated in 3D rather than 2D, but others didn't really mind the change in art style.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The opening of the movie, while on itself isn't soo much of scary, the fact that we see various eggs running from their life and being killed by crashing into each others, being blended in a blender, getting stamped by knifes, forks and other kitchenware, being shocked or burned, and crashing into the ceiling isn't going to make anyone wonders about.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: "Un Juego de Huevos" (A Game About Eggs) is a decent 2D platformer with the only flaw being is that it is exclusive to the obscure Zeebo conasle.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: It could have been interesting to see more development for the Hawk Egg that appears in the sequel as an Obi Wan-esque mentor for Toto, but he only appears in a few scenes and disappears before the final battle.
  • The Woobie: Toto and Willy. Toto's mother especially in the first movie.
  • Values Dissonance: Part of the reason the first two films were never released internationally is because their is a character that resembles blackface.
