  • Goblin #1^note In the second stage of X, our heroes are tasked with defeating a goblin "invading" the town. Except that its a Com Mon being dramatically overhyped by Taro, and said character is literally referred to as "Goblin #1". The jokes intensified, however, when the laptop running the game crashed with a BSOD during the first match of that round. This resulted in just about everyone immediately placing the blame on Goblin #1.
  • I love video games ⬅⬆⬇➡ ^note An inside joke from the Discord server referencing an image reading that, and the tendancy for bootleg DanceDanceRevolution clones to have the up and down columns swapped from how they usually are.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: Some stages have begun to exhibit this, especially since 9 with the advent of GL shader support.
  • Dying Breath Of Stokesia (9) is choc full of corruption and datamoshing effects, a segment where bits and pieces of the interface replace the arrows (including the judgment graphics, the players' current scores, and clones of the actual notefield), the arrows appearing on screens in a 3D pile of monitors, and a segment near the end where the arrows randomly change to different types of note graphics from other games.
  • While "matoi" (8) was spectacular enough, its follow-up "Golden Rule" (X), has visuals that suit the eternalness of the song while also presenting a major challenge (to the point that it was officially considered harder than the song that followed)
