- Captain Obvious Reveal: That Chin Ku, the allegedly deceased best friend of Billy Lo, is the Hidden Villain. He's played by Hwang Jang-lee whose resume consists entirely of villainous roles, and known for portraying various antagonists at the time of the movie's release.
- Special Effects Failure: The "lion" released to kill Bobby and actually mauls one of Lewis' harem is a ridiculously fake man in a suit.
