• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • Chris breaks the pattern while selecting teams several times, specifically by choosing Lightning as a member of Team A even though Jo arrived at the finish line before him, by choosing both Cameron and Zoey to be on Team B even though they arrived one after another, by selecting Dawn for Toxic Rats even though Mike arrived before her, and by choosing both of the last two contestants (Sam and Staci) for Team A. If he hadn't, the teams would've composed of:
    • Toxic Rats: Jo, Scott, B, Zoey, Dawn, Anne Maria, Staci
    • Mutant Maggots: Lightning, Brick, Cameron, Mike, Dakota, Sam
    • The plot potential of this version of teams is certainly food for thought. Interesting examples include Mike and Zoey competing on opposing teams, Lightning and Brick being on the same team, the extent to which Scott could get away with his Team Killer strategy while being on the same team with Jo, and the finalists (assuming this version of teams wouldn't have affected the elimination order) competing on the same team since the start, allowing for their rivalry to be even more fleshed out.
  • As noted on the main page, Chris let the Mutant Maggots unfairly win solely for destroying the Rats' cabin, even though the latter team properly completed the challenge, unlike the former. Had this not happened, one of the Maggots would've been eliminated (or alternatively, there'd be no elimination since all of the Maggots have more plot potential) while Staci would've stuck around for at least one more episode. Having a Compulsive Liar compete in the trivia challenge of the following episode would've certainly been interesting.
