  • Awesome Music:
    • The prelude is absolutely gorgeous.
    • The harmony in "Nothing Like a Fire."
    • "Superior." Richard may be a total psychopath, but damned if he can't carry a tune.
    • "Ransom Note" is surprisingly beautiful, and also incredibly creepy.
    • "Roadster" and "Keep Your Deal With Me" are both set to the same gorgeous, perfectly sinister piano piece.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The show's surprisingly big in South Korea.
  • Ho Yay: Come for the psychological insight and emotional manipulation. Stay for the actors making out in 1920s costumes.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • "Roadster," where Richard convinces the victim Bobby Franks to get in his car. It's absolutely chilling.
    • "Ransom Note" and "The Plan" aren't much better. "Ransom Note" is parental worries personified, and "The Plan" really showcases Richard's Psychopathic Manchild side.
  • Tearjerker: "Afraid".
  • The Woobie: Nathan, not to mention poor Bobby Franks.
