• Epic Riff: "Get Free," "Ride," "In The Jungle," "F.T.W.", and so much more.
• Hype Backlash: They suffered this in a big way in the mid 2000s. At their peak the music press was hyping them up as the "saviors of rock" and they were frequently compared to Nirvana. However, the mixed reception to their later albums after "Highly Evolved" combined with frontman Craig Nicholls increasingly erratic behavior caused many observers to wonder what the music press ever saw in them.
• Never Live It Down: Craig's meltdowns and unhinged live performances. He's gotten better(ish).
• Signature Song: "Get Free" easily. It's the bands most commercially successful song and the one most non fans can name.
• Sophomore Slump: Winning Days had this trope written all over it, since much of the material was written from the same period as Highly Evolved.
• Tough Act to Follow: Highly Evolved proved to be this for the band. As every album that followed it failed to meet it's critical and commercial success.
