YMMV / The Million Pound Drop

Go To

  • It's Hard, So It Sucks!: As contestants cannot quit at any point unlike on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and the final question is a 50% chance of losing all remaining money with no Consolation Prize if they guess wrong, it may alienate viewers who are fans of more fair games like Millionaire.
    • It may have also reduced the amount of contestants who applied to be on the show compared to WWTBAM, as people who really want the chance to win the million more than just the chance to appear on TV wouldn't apply to Drop first, though by the time this show started, ITV had been reducing the number of WWTBAM episodes a year significantly and it was becoming more and more a celebrity/charity-only affair.
  • It's Easy, So It Sucks!: In contrast however, the questions leading up to the final question are far easier general-knowledge and logical-deduction questions than on WWTBAM's higher levels.
