- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Many of The Meatmen's hardcore audience members strongly disliked their new sound; their label at the time actually dropped them just because they hated the metal influenced War of the Superbikes.
- Vindicated by History: Pope on a Rope was generally ignored when released and their fanbase didn't care much for it at the time. However, it's gone on to be one of their higher praised albums since, and Tesco Vee has even said it's his personal favorite record he's done.
