- Catharsis Factor: After everything she's done in this story, on levels even canon Odalia never accomplished, it is very satisfying to see her receive a gory No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from the now titan-empowered Hexsquad before she is brutally killed off by Skara and Cat, considering that her canon self never received any onscreen karma.
- Captain Obvious Reveal: Odalia being the one who mutilated Cat would probably have been more shocking if she weren't the person most reviewers already suspected.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: This story's central premise is Luz becoming a half-Titan hybrid during the events of "Thanks to Them". A month after the story was first published, that would happen canonically in "Watching and Dreaming".
