- Memetic Mutation:
- It's become popular on the internet to take cutout figures from The Bayeux Tapestry and rearrange them into medieval-style memes, writing the sayings in archaic English or Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe. (e.g., "Behold the field in which I grow mine fucks, lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren.") Someone even made a tool on github for the purpose.
- The same with archaic French. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, there was a humorous web comic called "La Geste Covid", parodying the (poor) handling of the epidemic by authorities with old French or pseudo-old French dialogue over the tapestry's segments and fictional segments added in it.
- Not to mention many a memetic Bardcore video using the Tapestry's style as inspiration.
