- Tear Dryer: Whatever chance the heroes have of leaving Pasha Selim's palace peacefully vanishes after it turns out that Tenor Boy Belmonte's father is Selim's bitterest enemy. The heroes prepare for execution and only hope to end up Together in Death. Then, suddenly, Selim decides he is not going to sink to his enemy's level by getting a Best Served Cold revenge, and instead announces he is letting everybody go. Cue a celebratory chorus.
- Values Resonance: Blonde wouldn't hesitate to tell you that women are free to make their own decisions. To clarify, she doesn't only say it to Osmin – when her official Love Interest Pedrillo suspects that Osmin has molested her and tries to blame it on her, she makes it absolutely clear she's not putting up with it.
